    境港の水木しげるロード観光の前に立ち寄り、 昼食をいただきました。 おすすめメニューの「カニとろ丼」と ウニとイクラの「2色丼」と「海鮮丼」を注文。 普通に美味しくいただきました。 観光地価格なのでしょうか、少しお値段高めな気もしましたが、 平均的なようでした。 市場も大きく、駐車場も広く、大きな鬼太郎の像もあって、 寄り道するのにはいいと思います。

    This restaurant is located about 70 meters to the north of the Sand Museum. The restaurant offers popular menus such as “Tottori Great Sand Dune curry” with a “sand dunes” motif, and “Yakuzen Sand Dune Curry Udon”, and various seafood rice bowls. A large variety of souvenirs are also available. There is a large parking lot so why don’t you drop by when you go to the Sand Museum.

    A restaurant with an old-fashioned look founded over 100 years ago in the Meiji period. It's about 10 minutes by car from Kurayoshi Station. They serve shabu-shabu (thinly sliced meat boiled with vegetables and dipped in sauce) set meals and rice bowl dishes you can dine on along a street with white walled storehouses. Their specialty is Mochi Shabu, featuring colorful mochi rice cakes resembling a twelve-layered ceremonial kimono. You dip the items in a skipjack tuna broth. The tasty and satisfyingly filling mochi is made with ingredients like carrots, shiitake mushrooms, matcha tea, and yuzu citron. Thinly cut and visually pleasing with subtle colors, it's become a hot topic in various magazines and on social media.

    We had dinner here and ordered a set of colourful Mochi plus beef Shabu Shabu for 2,160 yen. Cosy place and tasty food.

    A leisure facility located on the grounds of the Daisen Cattle Field in Houki Town, Saihaku County, Tottori Prefecture. 600 meters above sea level, the area offers a spectacular view of the Sea of Japan and Mt. Daisen. Numerous milk cows graze in the area, and visitors can enjoy the pastoral atmosphere as well as connecting with the animals. A variety of events are held at the site, and visitors can practice milking a cow using a model or try a confection-making class (reservation required). In the adjoining restaurant, you can enjoy dishes made with an abundance of fresh milk and dairy products. In addition to souvenirs, the shop sells a popular specially made soft serve ice cream limited to around 5,000 servings per day.

Guests can taste fresh seasonal seafood carefully selected by the owner of a former fish shop in simple recipes that make use of the ingredients such as seafood rice bowls, sashimi or tempura. The restaurant specializes in crab dishes from September through to June with the matsuba crab being in season and especially popular from November to March. The local gourmet food Sakaiminato crab rice made with red snow crabs is also very popular.

    地元のスタッフに連れられてランチにお邪魔しました。外観は昔ながらの定食屋さんですが、昼少し前なのに車がいっぱいで人気があるようです。近くの境港で水あげされた食材を使用した料理が売りのようです。日替わり定食¥900を頂きましたがボリューム満点でおいしくいただきました。

Kanijiman is run by a fishing enterprise, and so is able to provide carefully selected fresh crab.     At Shungo Tatsumi, diners can enjoy seasonal fish and local sakes while enjoying the view of the Uradome Coast; the restaurant serves substantial portions at very reasonable prices. There is an extensive menu featuring seasonal ingredients, and whatever you order you are sure to be satisfied with your choice. The first floor has counter seating koagari (raised tatami-floored seating areas) and Western-style individual dining rooms, while the second floor has Japanese-style individual dining rooms and a large hall that can seat up to 38 people; the restaurant is thus able to satisfy a wide range of dining preferences. Shungo Tatsumi is located around seven minutes’ drive from JR Iwami Station.

    The lunch sets are very reasonably priced for the portion and quality. The menu is only Japanese but everything is displayed in pictures. My whole set including tea came to 1350 yen.

The beams running across the ceiling and the warm-colored lighting create a unique dining space in which visitors can really enjoy their food.     15名くらいの団体で2階大広間で完全個室状態。お料理も次々運ばれ味付けも本格的!全て美味しかったです。デザートまでついて2000円はお安いです。珈琲は300円と高めでしたが個室で仲間でワイワイできたので珈琲もつい注文しました。
