A leisure facility located on the grounds of the Daisen Cattle Field in Houki Town, Saihaku County, Tottori Prefecture. 600 meters above sea level, the area offers a spectacular view of the Sea of Japan and Mt. Daisen. Numerous milk cows graze in the area, and visitors can enjoy the pastoral atmosphere as well as connecting with the animals. A variety of events are held at the site, and visitors can practice milking a cow using a model or try a confection-making class (reservation required). In the adjoining restaurant, you can enjoy dishes made with an abundance of fresh milk and dairy products. In addition to souvenirs, the shop sells a popular specially made soft serve ice cream limited to around 5,000 servings per day.

We were there end of Nov so it was a bit cold. We didnt see any cows. The farm is big and quiet. It is quite near the Mt. Daisen. Many people take photos of Mt. Daisen. The farm sells milk...

This is a restaurant where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood brought ashore at the Sakai fishing port. The menu offers dishes of generous servings such as specially selected seafood on bowls of rice, a set meal of sushi in a boat-like dish, an all-you-can-eat local red snow crab course using only fresh and non-frozen produce.

price is reasonable with fresh & tasty crab. we took beni-zuwaigani instead of matsuba as feel former is better than latter. price also cheaper. although location is bit far but take walk also ok...

Located in Hoki town, Saihaku county, this is the direct wholesaler of Daisen G Beer—a local beer brewed using spring water from Daisen. It is a beer restaurant with a European-style brick exterior, located at 300 meters, at the base of Daisen-Oki National Park. From sausages and spare ribs that go great with beer to oven-blazed pizza, pasta, and original curry, there is something for everyone, from kids to adults.

Up in the high mountain of Daizen, this beer house creates an European feel for its visitors. There are a number of ale, pilsner and lager to choose from. Its award winning pilsner is not bad...

A coffee shop on the Tottori Hondori Shopping Street that runs between Tottori Station and Wakasa Bridge. The old-fashioned, retro shop sells a special curry that all the locals know about. It's the only food item on the menu at this small and cozy cafe. Their curry is dark, rich, and super creamy; one bite and the sweetness and subtle spiciness fills your mouth, and before you know it, you've eaten the whole thing. They have a wide selection of shaved ice that's popular summertime.

This cafe was recommended by our hotel for the curry rice, and it lived up to our expectations. It is a small cafe and nothing fancy. But the curry rice was very tasty, the service was fast and...

A restaurant with an old-fashioned look founded over 100 years ago in the Meiji period. It's about 10 minutes by car from Kurayoshi Station. They serve shabu-shabu (thinly sliced meat boiled with vegetables and dipped in sauce) set meals and rice bowl dishes you can dine on along a street with white walled storehouses. Their specialty is Mochi Shabu, featuring colorful mochi rice cakes resembling a twelve-layered ceremonial kimono. You dip the items in a skipjack tuna broth. The tasty and satisfyingly filling mochi is made with ingredients like carrots, shiitake mushrooms, matcha tea, and yuzu citron. Thinly cut and visually pleasing with subtle colors, it's become a hot topic in various magazines and on social media.

We had dinner here and ordered a set of colourful Mochi plus beef Shabu Shabu for 2,160 yen. Cosy place and tasty food.

"This restaurant is next to the fish market “Karo-ichi"" at Karo Port. Visitors can taste cuisine made from the local seafood such as white squid, horse mackerel, and thread-sail filefish. The famous specialty is an extravagant dish using a complete, living white squid, served whole as sashimi. It is a delicious dish where the taste of the freshly caught squid fills your mouth with sweetness."

Tottori itself is a very nice place, because its coastal line is between the sea and the forest. The air is wonderful. This venue is located within the local fresh-food market, which gives is a...

This Japanese restaurant adjoins Aeon Mall Hiezu a 10-minute drive from the Yonago Interchange on the Yonago Expressway. Situated in a corner of the Shinsen Ichiba fresh fish market in the parking lot, the restaurant serves vaunted seafood cuisine made with the freshest fish. The self-service style restaurant has a cheery and lively atmosphere. The restaurant's exquisite, hearty, and popular Mix-don rice bowl is topped with an abundance of tuna, sailfin sandfish, shrimp, squid, and sea urchin. You can choose the amount of rice you get, from extra-large, large, regular, and small, and no matter what time of year it is, lines of waiting customers often form out the door. The Jo Kaisen-don seafood rice bowl is topped with whatever seafood could be stocked that day and is popular as the seafood rice bowl with the most variety of seafood toppings.

In this time, I ate “Yamayoshi don”. I have ever been there about five times and I ate it four times. It has about ten kinds of seafood and its quantity is so much. More, the seafood changes...

This restaurant is at the boarding area for pleasure cruises of the San'in Kaigan Geopark's Uradome Coast. They serve fare featuring fresh seafood like you can only get in a port town. Their most popular item is the Uminosachi Teishoku meal set with an assorted sashimi platter, boiled fish, and fried items you can enjoy at one sitting. It has hearty portions and comes recommended, so if you're not sure what you'd like to eat, this is for you. Squid ink is a local favorite, and their squid ink curry and curry udon noodles are packed with the flavor of squid. They also have plenty of take-out items like flying fish cutlet burgers and squid cutlet burgers.

A must try in the area for sea food lovers! The food has good quality and is speciality of the town. Also the ride after lunch is amazing option for having fun! You can feed the seagulls and its...

At Shungo Tatsumi, diners can enjoy seasonal fish and local sakes while enjoying the view of the Uradome Coast; the restaurant serves substantial portions at very reasonable prices. There is an extensive menu featuring seasonal ingredients, and whatever you order you are sure to be satisfied with your choice. The first floor has counter seating koagari (raised tatami-floored seating areas) and Western-style individual dining rooms, while the second floor has Japanese-style individual dining rooms and a large hall that can seat up to 38 people; the restaurant is thus able to satisfy a wide range of dining preferences. Shungo Tatsumi is located around seven minutes’ drive from JR Iwami Station.

The lunch sets are very reasonably priced for the portion and quality. The menu is only Japanese but everything is displayed in pictures. My whole set including tea came to 1350 yen.

A conveyor belt sushi restaurant about a 10-minute drive from Sanbon-Matsuguchi Station on the JR Sakai Line. Enjoy seasonal dining with a menu featuring local Yonago fish. The cozy shop has a welcoming, casual atmosphere for families and friends. They purchase their fish at the port daily, so they always have the freshest seafood to offer the guests. You'll want to check out the daily specials posted in the shop, as the fish for sushi varies daily according to what's available. They also have a variety of creative fare that you can only get there.

With an old-fashioned look, the shop serves coffee, red bean soup, Mitoku tofu, and their specialty cuisine featuring wild vegetables. Their popular tochimochi is made with mochi rice steam together with cooked Japanese horse chestnut. It's warm, soft, and perfect for a break after visiting Sanbutsu-ji Temple. Their slightly firm inaka-tofu and Mitoku tofu are served with fresh, sharp flavored pickled wasabi.

Ginrin-tei serves seafood rice bowl and sashimi set meals made using seafood sourced locally in the San’in region, as well as squid sugatazukuri (seafood prepared so that it resembles the original, natural state of the creature), seafood banquets, and Usagi Sandan Tobi Don, a dish inspired by the legend of the White Hare of Inaba.
