"A yakiniku Japanese barbecue restaurant next to the Fresh Park Wakabadai Mitani Rancher Market ""Wakaba"". They serve straight from the farm meat raised on a ranch run by the Tottori Stock Raising Farm Co-op. Their popular 90 minute all-you-can-eat plan lets you select the meat of your choice from their showcase before preparing. The restaurant has smokeless grills, so you don't have to worry about the smoky smell. For dessert, try the popular soft serve ice cream made with fresh milk from Mitani Ranch."

The hearty portions of their popular meat platter heaped with beef, pork, and chicken comes with soup, salad, and French fries, making it perfect for sharing with family or friends. The food is not bad, but it really isnt very Italian. There is a lot of Japanese influence. The antipasti usually consists of hams and cold cuts, cheeses, olives, peppers... But at this restaurant...

"This ""yokai manju"" ningyo-yaki bun shop is located in front of the Mizuki Shigeru Museum. The shop has a bright and clean exterior; inside, the shop sells cute, 6-centimeter-tall ningyo-yaki buns. The shop is famous for its four buns modeled after characters from Shigeru Mizuki's hit ""GeGeGe no Kitaro"" - Kitaro, Medama-Oyaji, Neko-Musume, and Nezumi-Otoko. The shop's buns contain one of three fillings - smooth bean paste, custard, or chocolate - and customers can choose their favorite. The shop's boxes of yokai manju come wrapped in the ""Yokai Shimbun,"" a newspaper with information about Sakaiminato. The newspaper has information about the local area and Mizuki Shigeru Road, and many customers can be seen enjoy one of the shop's buns in one hand while reading the newspaper in the other."

"This ""yoshoku"" Japanese-style Western food restaurant is located a 10-minute drive from Tottori Station. The old-fashioned restaurant is situated in a residential district and serves curry, omelet rice, pastas, pizzas, and more. The curry, the most popular item on the menu, is made with an abundance of fruits and vegetables, along with local beef from which the fat has been carefully trimmed and slow-stewed to imbue it with flavor. The light yet flavorful and full-bodied curry sauce goes perfectly with the restaurant's omelet rice. The hearty Otokogi Curry comes with twice the rice, twice the curry, and an omelet made with five eggs, and is topped with your choice of any two of the following: breaded deep fried shrimp, breaded deep fried tenderloin, and hamburg steak."

"This farmers market is located just off the Mizukuchi Interchange on the Yonago Expressway. The market's dome-shaped building commands a view of Mt. Daisen; dedicated to the theme of ""locality,"" inside customers can purchase local foods and ingredients. The market's freshly harvested vegetables and fruits, and foods are all local and all chosen based on the motto of ""fresh, safe, and healthy."" The market's fresh highland vegetables, picked that very morning, were grown in so-called ""black terracotta"" soil made up of volcanic ash, and all are highly praised for their vibrancy and nutritiousness. The market also has a restaurant in the back where you can enjoy Hoki Wagyu beef, a rare brand name variety of Japanese beef which is hard to acquire even locally."

"This is the restaurant of Yamadaya, a longstanding Karo Port inn which has been in business for over 200 years. Here customers can enjoy fresh, seasonally-inspired seafood cuisine; along with a view of the port town of Karo and ships and seabirds coming and going. The restaurant's signature squid rice bowl is touted as being the original and is also featured on the restaurant's sign; the popular dish is topped with an abundance of the area's famous ""white squid,"" which has a highly sweet and rich flavor. The rice itself is mixed with teriyaki-broiled squid tentacles and organ meat; in turn, white squid sashimi is elegantly arranged on top. Add the accompanying squid pickles with koji malted rice, shiokara salted squid guts, and secret recipe sauce to enjoy an even more flavorful meal. Even meals for dinner are reservation-only, so prospective customers must contact the restaurant in advance."
