    Alishan Cafe is located along Prefectural Route 15 in Koma Hongo in the city of Hidaka. In addition to vegetarian cuisine made with seasonal, organic vegetables, it serves made with organic coffee or tea, cake, and vegan sweets. The onsite shop where customers can buy organic and vegetarian food and eco cleaning products is open only on weekends.

    Disappointing lunch, one curry and 2 rice bowls. Nothing about these dishes would convince anyone switch to vegetarian eating! Last time they had a delicious veggie burger but it has been removed...

    Nosaka opened as a Japanese style restaurant in 2000. It restyled itself as a miso pork-bowl shop in 2008, and since has become the home of miso pork-bowl. This exquisite dish is made with pork marinated in Chichibu’s famed miso, then roasted over a charcoal flame, laid over specially selected rice and topped with the house’s special soy-based sauce.

This dish includes a satisfying portion of pork cutlet with a shoyu-based sauce. Not only is it tasty and filling, but the reasonable price is attractive, too. People come from all over to enjoy this famous dish.

    Saiboku manufactures and sells pork raised on its own farm under two brand names, Golden Pork and Super Golden Pork, along with ham and sausages made from this porkin a consistent manner. The adjacent restaurant and cafe serves barbecued pork and Tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet), grilled pork, and spare ribs. Customers can even relax in the hot spring facility for daytime use that is on the grounds. The shop sells pork products and local vegetables, both of which make excellent souvenirs.

The menu at the main store changes seasonally, so you can enjoy visiting many times a year. The shaved ice formed from natural water is exquisite.

Operating out of a closed mountain branch school building, the cafe serves foods such as the ""Tenku no Chimaki,"" kakuni stewed meat cubes steamed in a bamboo leaf with rice; and the ""Tenku Burger."" The cafe also serves frozen pineapple ice cream, fruit baumkuchens, and drinks made with the area's superb spring water. In addition, there's an adjoining barbecue ground where customers can purchase or rent everything they need to enjoy a tasty cookout. Situated 550 meters above sea level, the surrounding scenery is also superb."
