    A private dining restaurant located inside the Choseikan ryokan inn a three-minute walk from Nagatoro Station in Nagatoro, Nagatoro Town, Chichibu County. The restaurant serves course meals consisting of dishes such as seasonal river fish grilled with salt shioyaki style using an irori sunken hearth, and local cuisine like zuriage udon noodles. The restaurant also offers day trip plans which include use of the inn's bathhouse.

    近くの系列?の宿に泊まった際に利用しました。 日帰りの方などであふれており、ゆっくりできるという雰囲気ではないです。

    "A traditional inn and restaurant situated along Prefectural Route 189 in Otsuka, Ogawa Town, Hiki County. This long-standing establishment was founded in 1748. The current main building, erected in 1933, has been designated a National Tangible Cultural Property. The establishment serves traditional kaiseki course cuisine made with seasonal ingredients. The vaunted ""Chushichi-meshi"" rice, invented by the inn's eighth owner, Chushichi Yagi, is counted as one of the five great rice dishes of Japan alongside the likes of Fukagawa-meshi."

    昨年9月に会社の旅行で、昼食を食べに立ち寄りました。25名くらいの人数だったので、座敷があり助かりました。山岡鉄舟由来の名物忠七飯が美味かったです。

The restaurant serves ayumeshi sweetfish rice, ayu sweetfish soba noodles, ayu sweetfish set meals, and other dishes made with ayu sweetfish, as well as kamameshi rice and soba noodles. With a reservation made at least three days in advance, customers can enjoy an ""Ayu-zukushi"" course which includes ayu sweetfish tempura, ayu sweetfish meshi, and a variety of other dishes made with ayu sweetfish. The restaurant is also adjoined by a souvenir shop selling local Nagatoro gifts and products."

    暑い暑い夏の一日。お昼でも....と思いましたが、かき氷にしました。店内のお座敷で座っていただけるのがうれしい。ほとんどの方がかき氷を注文していました。お店の方、本当にお疲れさまでした。 天然氷ではないようですが、とてもおいしくいただきました。シロップを自由に追加できるようですが、小豆入りをいただいたので、十分な甘さでした。

Menu selections include eel broiled and slathered in a secret recipe sauce handed down for seven generations; a la carte eel dishes like shirayaki plain broiled eel; the ""Torikaba Sanshoku"" meal, which comes with chicken kabayaki and soboro as well as egg soboro; and eel course meals."

    Went there for the first time, and found that the quality of UNAGI here is sometimes better than some of the famous first class UNAGI restaurants in Tokyo, especially in terms of the best combination...

    川沿いで味ありますね。お料理はそこそこ。もう少し凝っていただけるともっと素敵で使いやすい料亭なのですがね。飯能では数少ないこの手の懐石ゆえ仕方がないかな。

Their classic sauce katsu-ju (breaded pork cutlet on rice) made with shredded seaweed instead of cabbage, perfectly complimenting the pork, is a well-loved dish. As well as buta-don (pork on rice), gyokusen set meal, and four course meals for groups of guests, the restaurant also has a wide range of individual dishes on the menu making it a great place for families too.

    Umedaya located on Saikai Road in Nagatoro, Nagatoro Town is a specialty tofu (bean curd) restaurant. Using additive-free tofu made every morning from a native Chichibu soybean called Hakko and natural nigari (bittern), it offers tofu sweets, okara donuts, drinks using soymilk as well as the Umedaya Tofu Lunch with side dishes such as okara (soy pulp).

    We found out the hard way that this restaurant is closed Wednesdays, along with many other shops and eateries in Nagatoro. So our rating isnt based on experience. We were disappointed not to be able...

    Suzukaen is a restaurant specializing in local cuisine, located on Prefectural Route 43 in the Arakawaonobara district of Chichibu City. It serves Sekki-yaki cuisine, featuring meat, mushrooms and vegetables cooked on heated stones; diners can also enjoy local wild game from the Chichibu region—including venison, wild boar meat, bear meat, etc.—either as Sekki-yaki or in the form of hotpot dishes, etc. (visitors should note that, as the supply of wild game is variable, certain dishes may sometimes not be available). There is also a shop where visitors can purchase local specialty products and processed foods, etc., and pick-your-own activities are available for seasonal produce such as mushrooms and fruit, as well as opportunities for visitors to catch their own trout (these activities all require advance booking).

    秩父の名物にまでなっている、わらじカツ丼だが、本物はこちらだと思う。二枚が基本で、好きな枚数が選べる。一枚がロースでもう一枚はヒレだと言う。この町に仕事で赴任したのは、40年前。初めて食べた地元の味だった。懐かしく美味しく頂いた。

    Nosaka opened as a Japanese style restaurant in 2000. It restyled itself as a miso pork-bowl shop in 2008, and since has become the home of miso pork-bowl. This exquisite dish is made with pork marinated in Chichibu’s famed miso, then roasted over a charcoal flame, laid over specially selected rice and topped with the house’s special soy-based sauce.

    2人で開店1時間前お邪魔するも、すでに先客のライターたちが数人待ってました。長時間の待ちの間に缶ビールと缶チューハイで乾杯しながら呑んだくれました、開店後は順々に入店して、オーダーもその順にとってくれます。 待つこと20分くらいして待望の秩父豚丼です。焼き色も香ばしくて旨そうです。一気にかきこんでご馳走さまでした。
