    長瀞一泊旅行の二日目、某氷屋さんの本店にふらりと行って、ちょうどお昼時になったので、電車に乗る前にお昼にしました。朝食からそれ程経ってなかったので、温かいお蕎麦をいただきました。天ぷらが人気のようで、周囲の方はみんな天ぷら+冷たい蕎麦でした。お値段は高くも安くもなく?という感じです。隣の氷屋さんのかき氷と同じくらいの値段です。

    This soba noodle shop is about a five-minute walk from Wado-Kuroya Station on the Chichibu Railway's Chichibu Main Line. They stone-grind their buckwheat flour themselves every morning in a dedicated mill beside the shop. They serve tempura along with it made with local produce. Their standard noodles are made with 80% buckwheat flour, but you can pay a little more for 100% buckwheat noodles. Try the Aimori menu featuring both soba and udon noodles.

    天ぷらざるそば1000円を頂きました。天ぷらはゴーヤ、さつまいも、オクラ、人参でした。 そばは二八、細麺です。 つけ汁は昆布が香ります。今日のは醤油が強く感じた。全体的には薄めなのでお蕎麦をたっぷり浸しても塩辛くありません。

    This soba noodle shop is just a one-minute walk from Chichibu Shrine. They use freshly ground buckwheat flour they mill themselves with carefully selected buckwheat berries. You can see their chefs at work making the noodles through a glass pane right as you enter the shop. Their meal sets feature soba along with other tasty dishes featuring local ingredients, including tempura and steamed rice. They also have an array of desserts made with buckwheat including soba ice cream, sobagaki sweet dumplings, and soba shiruko, a traditional sweet red bean soup.

The restaurant’s signature menu item is its mountain walnuts soba noodles, which is characterized by its thick soba noodles made with buckwheat flour ground with the skin on. The sweetness of the walnuts is brought out by the sauce, creating an exquisite harmony of flavors.

    A very low profile, family owned soba noodles restaurant that offers great food! Definitely try their kurumi soba or tempura soba.

They are well known for their Kawahaba Udon whose name comes from the fact that in 2008 the Arakawa River which flows through Konosu City was acknowledged as Japan's widest river by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (Kawahaba meaning Wide River). They offer an expansive menu with options including warm udon and soba noodles, rice dishes including rice bowls, and a la carte options.

    東所沢にある古民家の蕎麦屋。人気店ですので、休日は行列です。駐車場はあります。蕎麦は入口で打っているところが見れます。蕎麦は風味もあり、切り方もベター。つけ汁が濃すぎず、良い塩梅です。天ぷらも美味しく、名物の川越の芋天ぷらは甘くて良いです。丼のセットの付け合わせの漬物が特に美味しく、記憶に残りました。

    A pleasant soba noodle restaurant with a Japanese-style exterior and tatami flooring. From the restaurant windows you can look out at their bamboo thicket and stone lanterns, and when bamboo shoots are in season, they add bamboo shoot tempura to their menu. Highly recommended is their Ten-Seiro dish which consists of assorted tempura and their specialty thin yet springy soba noodles. Their tempura is very popular and sometimes sells out quickly so it's best to visit early.
