    Nagano Chino-shi Tateshina Pool
A 30-minute drive from the Suwa Interchange or the Suwa-minami Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. This long-standing soba noodle restaurant, situated along the Venus Line, serves thick and chewy country-style inaka soba. The restaurant's wasabi green cold zaru soba noodles, made with wasabi greens from Azumino, are tasty, and the combo which includes mushroom mazegohan rice is particularly recommended. The restaurant's tempura soba is particularly popular and is served with local edible wild plant tempura from spring to early summer and homegrown vegetable tempura from summer to fall. The restaurant has a laid back tatami mat seating area as well as table and chair seating.

    Nagano Saku-shi Nakagomi 3713-10
A 13-minute walk from Kita-Nakagomi Station. This is one of a few ramen restaurants in the area serving Anyouji ramen, a miso ramen made with miso from the Anyouji Temple. The deluxe Zenbu Iri Tenho Ramen comes in three varieties - shoyu (soy sauce), shio (salt), and miso. Customers can also add staple chashu roast pork slices, bean sprouts, and soft-boiled eggs to their order. In addition to tsukemen dipping noodles and spicy tantanmen noodles, the restaurant serves seasonal, limited-time dishes like hiyashi chuka cold noodles, yuzu shio ramen, and spicy umakara miso ramen, ensuring there's something different to try each time you come back. Also great is the fact you can choose the thickness of your noodles and ramen broth as well as the spiciness of the tantanmen.

    Nagano Komoro-shi Tei 314
A three-minute walk from Komoro Station. This soba noodle restaurant is located close to the inner citadel in the center of Komoro Castle Park. The standard cold zaru soba noodles, which reflect the innate flavors of the ingredients used to make them, are particularly recommended. The large sized soba noodles are enough to feed two people. Weather hot or cold, the restaurants noodles come with edible wild plants, mushrooms, deep fried tofu, and grated yam; the restaurant's Daimyo Soba comes topped with all of these plus an egg. Other toppings include tempura and eggs. The summertime only perilla and plum soba noodles have Japanese ginger in them, giving them a refreshing flavor. During the cherry bossom viewing season, customers can enjoy a banquet with an advance reservation. Note that the restaurant closes when its supply of noodles for the day runs out.
