A patisserie located in a quiet, green residential area of Narusedai. With a cheerful, eye-catching facade and a bright blue awning, the shop strives for outstanding flavor in their products. Their popular Egg Custard features fresh Okukuji eggs. The cute and popular treats are presented in actual eggshells, sold in the egg cartons you find in supermarkets. The custard is available year-round, with seasonal flavors like matcha in spring and summer and pumpkin in autumn and winter.

    Tokyo Machida-shi Aiharamachi 1667-3
A bread shop with a peaked roof on the Machida Highway. Since they opened, they've been trying to create new varieties of baked goods while maintaining a cozy atmosphere and the feel of an old-fashioned bakery. Their popular Whole Apple Cake has been featured on TV, in magazines, and in other media. The ample item features an entire apple soaked in rum with a custard cream middle baked inside an apple shaped cake. The shop sets up a stand at various events in Tokyo and Kanagawa.

"This Japanese confectionery shop is located a five-minute walk from JR Hachioji Station. The green awning in the middle of Nishi-Hoshasen U-Road marks this shop selling Hachioji's specialty ""miyako manju"" sweet buns. This kind of manju, also depicted on the shop's sign, is a famous confectionery in Hachioji featuring the burnt-in marks of a cute character and of the logo to commemorate the centennial of the city. These manju are appreciated for their delicate taste coming from simple ingredients, such as sweet white bean paste, flour, eggs and sugar. It is loved by everyone from children to adults as the soul food of Hachioji."

A historical shop founded during the Tenpo era (1830-1842) in the late Edo period, you can enjoy specialty soba buckwheat noodles made with 60% buckwheat flour kneaded with grated yam and high-quality flour. The grated yam is a combination of ""yamatoimo"" yam and ""nagaimo"" yam, and is characterized by its rich taste. In addition to soba noodles, you can also enjoy dishes with ingredients and tastes unique to Mt. Takao, such as ""mugitoro-han"" (rice and barley dish served with yam), ""yuba konnyaku kamaage"" (yam cake jelly made with soy milk) and grilled miso.

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
