A curry restaurant established in 1924 located a one-minute walk from Jimbocho Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. The restaurant's black curry has a smooth texture and its rich flavor comes from stewing 20 herbs and spices, vegetables, and meat together without making use of any flour whatsoever. The most popular item on the menu is the pork curry, which contains tender chunks of stewed pork. Other curries on the menu include beef, chicken, shrimp, and tongue. There's also Kyoeido's flavorful take on Hayashi rice.

This gelato specialty shop, is seemingly a well kept secret of the chocolate specialty store, Muse du Chocolat Theobroma. Look for the trademark red door at the end of the small alleyway that feels like something out of the backstreets of Europe. Although cakes and chocolate are served, their specialty is gelato. Every morning a number of different freshly made gelatos are displayed. The velvety rich Gelato Chocolat is the masterpiece of Theobroma. The Spiral is the most popular menu item, where you choose two different flavors that are mixed together with a special machine. The parfaits, varied by season, are also popular.
