Xuehua no Sato Naha is a café located five minutes’ walk from Makishi Station. The café’s main draw is its Xuehua Bing desserts, which provide a different taste experience to conventional ices or Kakigori shaved ices, but the café also serves Taiwanese coffee, Taiwanese Oolong tea, and Chinese rice porridge, etc. Despite being located close to the bustling Kokusai Street, the interior of Xuehua no Sato Naha provides a quiet, relaxing environment.

国際通りから少し入った場所にお店があります。駐車場はありませんが付近にコインパーキングや時間貸し駐車場があるので不都合はありません。フワフワで味の付いたカキ氷は他では中々味わうことができません。過去に何度か利用した際にはプレーンのものを注文しましたが、今回は期間限定「森のくまさん」を注文しました。メープルシロップが幸せな気分にさせてくれました。

Horikawa is an Okinawan soba noodle shop, opposite Shuri Castle Park and near Josei Elementary School and Ryutan Pond in Shurimawashi Town. Their Okinawan soba noodles have a clear soup mixed with homemade noodles which are boiled after an order is received. The decoration with condiments such as spring onion and ginger on a porcelain spoon is impressive.

首里城近くの路地裏にある隠れ家的雰囲気のお店。開店と同時に入店しました。お店の入口で靴を脱ぐのが面白いと思ったのですが、後になってそういうお店が沖縄には多いのに気づきました。私は、『ソーキそばのBセット』を注文。沖縄そばとしては、かなり優しい味わい。人によっては、物足りなく感じるかもしれない。でも、お店の雰囲気も含めて再訪したいと思えるお店でした。

Shokudo India is a specialty Indian curry restaurant located on Sakurazakanaka-dori Street, which is next to Kokusai-dori Street (International Street). The curries are prepared from a combination of 20 spices and range over 25 dishes including chicken, mutton and seafood. The naan is home baked with charcoal in the oven. In the evening, you can have a drink with a reasonably priced nomihodai (all you can drink) and snack on Indian dishes such as Tandoori chicken.

那覇市内でカレーを食べれるお店を検索していて見つけたお店。那覇の中では、老舗的存在のようです。夜の時間帯でしたが、待たずに入店出来ました。私は、『Aセット』を注文。2種類のカレーにサモサやタンドリーチキン、デザートも付いてくる豪華な内容だったので、お腹いっぱいになりました。

Yuntakusuba Udunyama is a specialty Okinawan soba noodle shop in the foothills of Shuri. The shop is a renovated traditional Japanese house with traditional Okinawan architecture which was built 150 years ago. The breeze can pass smoothly through the shop, so it is cool and comfortable even in the hot summer. The Okinawan soba noodles made from noodles using a method passed down from old generations that go down smoothly with an exclusive stock are superb so you may want to finish the soup. Side dishes are also popular such as Udunyama inari sushi, red bean soup with raw sugar and Jyushi (Okinawan style seasoned rice), which is cooked with four ingredients in special stock.

This café is located seven minutes' walk from Miebashi Station on Yui Rail. You can enjoy bukubuku coffee, a unique Okinawan coffee which has froth like a cappuccino.
