    This is the original store of the national franchise, okonomiyaki specialty store Chibo. The original sauce with a hint of sweetness and fresh fragrant after taste, is made so that it is perfect when it is poured on to the hot okonomiyaki-pancake. In addition to okonomiyaki, which is the store's signature dish, Negi-yaki (grilled green onion pancakes) with a specialty sauce that uses onions (kujo negi) freshly delivered from Kyoto, is a popular dish. The second floor can cater to 50 guests and is available to be reserved for groups over 40 people.

    Nishiya Honten is a long-established Shabu-shabu hotpot restaurant. The shop’s Arabia sandwich, a tamagoyaki rolled omelet with ham served between toasted slices of bread, is particularly popular among its food options. The shop’s well-used chairs and tables emit an atmosphere of the “good old days.” The interior of the shop resounds with the comfortable conversations of the shop master and regulars.

    A venerable udon noodle shop located in Osaka City’s Chuo Ward said to be the originator of kitsune udon noodles. When the restaurant was first founded in 1893, it served the inari fried tofu separate from the udon noodles, but after it became common for customers to add the inari to their noodles, the restaurant began serving the noodles with the inari already on top. The dashi stock, noodles, and spongy, juicy fried tofu made according to the same recipe as when the shop first opened are the taste of old Osaka.

    Udon soup the same for any toppings. One of the bowls I got a tiny piece of fish cake. No surprises. Size of the bowls are pretty small, not filling at all.

The restaurant focuses on four areas: ingredients, oil, temperature, and spirit, serving true culinary gems woven together from seasonal ingredients ordinarily reserved for the highest classes of cuisine woven together by the hands of a master. Here diners can enjoy kushikatsu that are a little different from the usual downtown, downhome treat served in Osaka, such as Hungarian foie gras and A5 rank wagyu beef chateaubriand.
