    About 10 minutes on foot from Tosa-Shinjo Station on the JR Dosan Line, this shop is famous for local Susaki cuisine and nabe-yaki ramen. The unpretentious shop maintains a cozy feel, and you can sit and enjoy steaming hot nabe-yaki ramen at either the counter or the tables/raised seating. The chicken-based stock is a pleasant soy flavor, with thin straight noodles, and completed with chicken, fish cakes, onions, and raw egg. The remaining soup makes great porridge if you add in some rice. Souvenir ramen is also available for purchase.

Restaurant’s staff char-grills a dried fish at the restaurant’s entrance and guests can eat it.

    いつも行列の絶えないお店です。中でも、一押しメニューはカツオ丼です。新鮮なカツオをふんだんに使い、ご飯が見えなくなるほど。極力、地元産のカツオを使用しているので、絶品です。

It is one of several local eateries in Susaki that serves the local delicacy nabeyaki ramen. It offers classic nabeyaki ramen that is faithful to “the seven articles of nabeyaki ramen.” Each serving of ramen noodles is stewed the old-fashioned way in an enameled pot.

    The Tanaka Sengyoten is located in the Taisho-machi market, which sells fresh fish and seafood. Tanaka Sengyoten also has a Ryoshi-goya (fisherman’s hut) opposite the shop; customers who have purchased fresh fish at Tanaka Sengyoten can take it next door and have it prepared and cooked for them to eat there. There is no extra charge for sashimi etc., but there is an additional charge for cooking dried fish. Customers can also order miso soup and rice to accompany their fish or seafood.

They have about 50 items available, and their log cabin shop has a cafe area.

    自家製の天然酵母で作られたパンが買えるということで、山道を走って行ってきました。小さな可愛いパン屋さんでした。高価なパンやお手頃な食パンがありましたが、食パンが美味しかったです。

Try Japanese spiny lobster straight from the port in a hot pot, zosui rice stew, or prepared ikizukuri style from live lobsters.     You can find this okonomiyaki savory pancake shop by looking for its orange storefront with a red awning. A wooden menu takes up a whole wall and is packed with items like nabeyaki-style ramen, nabeyaki ramen and fried rice sets, and zosui rice stew made with the broth from the ramen. It's a great restaurant to enjoy drinking with okonomiyaki, or have your fill of nabeyaki-style ramen.
