    Tokyo Minato-ku Akasaka 9-7-3
This southeast Asian restaurant is located on floor B1 of the West Galleria area of the Tokyo Midtown complex connected directly to Exit 8 of Roppongi Station on the Toei Subway Oedo Line. The restaurant primarily serves Vietnamese pho rice noodles, but diners can also enjoy a variety of Thai and other Asian cuisine and original dishes of all kinds created by the authentic chefs. Bun bo hue, a spicy chili pepper soup redolent with the aromas of beef, pork, lemongrass, and shrimp, is one of Vietnam's most celebrated dishes. The restaurant's healthy and hearty chicken pho contains an abundance of skin-beautifying collagen.

If you are looking for a casual and yet reasonably good vietnamese restaurant for lunch in Roppongi Hills, this is it. For around Yen1000, you can have several sets of combination lunch...

"This hideaway-style French restaurant is located a nine-minute walk from Exit 1B of Gaienmae Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line subway. The restaurant's name is derived from the word ""L'orgueil,"" French for ""arrogance"" or ""pride,"" chosen out of a desire to express the pride of years of experience and the inherent arrogance this engenders which also nevertheless serves as a source of inspiration. The chef studied in France's Champagne region, and the restaurant only serves omakase (chef's choice) style course meals consisting of dishes created first and foremost based on their compatibility with champagne. Of course, the only alcoholic beverage on the menu is champagne."

There’s is nothing more in life I love than a place that specializes in champagne. The place is hard to find, small and the ambiance is lovely, perfect date spot.

    Tokyo Minato-ku Minami-aoyama 7-14-5
A 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hiroo Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. This hideaway-style restaurant, located close to the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center, serves Shanghai home cooking. The restaurant has no fixed menu, and instead only serves an omakase (chef's choice) course meal consisting of around eight dishes created using carefully selected ingredients stocked that very day. However, if you make a reservation, you can make requests concerning what will be served. The slow-stewed shark fin, made with dried shark fin soaked over an extended period of time to give it a tender texture, is one of the restaurant's staples. The spring onion fried rice, served at the end of the course, is so popular, many customers come back time and again just to taste it.

    今年も上海蟹の季節になり、混み合っていました。 フカヒレの姿煮、絶品の麺と、 はじまりは半熟ピータンと定番と諸々新作、松茸の春巻きなど。 美味でした。

    Tokyo Minato-ku Minamiazabu 5-1-1 PLAZA KAY 2F
An atmospheric, hideaway-style wine bar located a four-minute walk from Exit 4 of Hiroo Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. Under the establishment's subdued lighting, you can forget about the time and leisurely enjoy wine and food. The bar carries and abundant variety of wines, with a particularly large selection of wines from France's Burgundy region. The bar's French-based cuisine is designed to go perfectly with wine and is made with an abundance of choice, seasonal ingredients; the restaurant also offers course meals, making it possible to eat a full-fledged dinner here. The establishment is open until 3 a.m.

No words to describe the great feeling I had in being welcomed in from this nice Family, for a simple glass of wine:warm, friendly and classy environment at the same time. Great lighting, cool jazz...

Tokyo Minato-ku Shirokanedai 1-1-50 Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo 1F
A four-minute walk from Exit 2 of Shirokanedai Station on the Toei Subway Mita Line. In this lounge, you can enjoy food along with a view of a Japanese garden from huge windows occupying an entire wall of the establishment. In addition to standards like curry and sandwiches, the lounge offers donburi rice bowls, udon noodles, and a full array of other Japanese dishes. Particularly popular is the rice bowl topped with Hokkaido beef tenderloin steak, whose recipe has been refined and improved upon by successive chefs. During teatime, when the establishment is bathed in gentle, soothing lighting, customers are encouraged to choose the visually striking Afternoon Tea Set. At night, the garden is lit up and customers can use the lounge like a bar while listening to live jazz performances.

Lounge Bamboo was everything I needed it to be - busy enough to feel fun as a solo traveler, sufficient selection of food/drinks, and a really lovely view of the garden that made you feel as if you...

Tokyo Minato-ku Shirokanedai 1-1-50 Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo B1F
A four-minute walk from Exit 2 of Shirokanedai Station on the Toei Subway Mita Line subway. This mature, hideaway-style bar is located on floor B1 of the Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo. In addition to the main bar area, which has a counter and fuses Japanese and Western design principles, the bar has three additional spaces - the Living Room, enwrapped in the soft sounds of classic jazz; the smoking-allowed Cigar Lounge; and private dining areas. In addition to whiskies, cognacs, and wines, the bar stocks an abundant selection of sakes and shochus. The bar also serves food, such as salads, pizza, and flame broiled Japanese Wagyu beef sirloin; and carries a wide array of cigars.

Every year there is a great event here for families to get together. Traditional games and culture abound. Highly recommended if you are in vicinity.

    Tokyo Minato-ku Roppongi 5-1-5B1
A three-minute walk from Exit 3 of Roppongi Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. This beer bar is located right next to the Roppongi Intersection. Carrying an outstanding selection of domestic local beers and craft brews, the bar's draught beer menu consists of 20 beers from across the country. The lineup also changes slowly day by day, ensuring you'll encounter new beers here no matter how many times you come. The establishment also puts great effort into its food menu, and dishes particularly recommended which go great with beer include the homemade corned beef, marinated in beer; and the exquisite Buffalo chicken wings slathered in a tasty special sauce.

Super cute and awesome craft beer bar (with bites) - have to walk downstairs off the street and they serve a great selection of ALL Japanese made brews. Much better than Sapporo, Kirin, Asahi (fans...

    Tokyo Minato-ku Roppongi 7-10-22F
A five-minute walk from Roppongi Station on the Toei Subway Oedo Line. This wine bar is located on the second floor of a building situated down an alley across from Tokyo Midtown. The bar stocks some 200 bottles of natural wines, with a focus on wines from France and Italy. The bar is famous for its hearty Japanese Wagyu beef steaks, which are served cut into massive chunks. The bar stocks its steak meat daily and thus the specific cuts available vary from day to day. Another recommended food selection is the charcuterie assortment, an hors d'oeuvre which comes with dry-cured ham, salami, homemade pate created using only pork, and other meats. You can also have wines chosen for you based on your meal and personal tastes.

A five-minute walk from Roppongi Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and Toei Subway Oedo Line. In this hideaway-style Italian restaurant, you can enjoy dishes prepared with choice, seasonal ingredients; as well as an abundant array of wines. Fresh ingredients such as organic, pesticide-free Italian vegetables; seafood stocked straight from specially contracted ports and fishermen; and slow-aged Japanese Brown beef are brought to you on a cart and prepared according to your preferences. Particularly recommended is the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, an Italian Chianina beef T-bone steak grilled over high grade ubame oak charcoal, giving it a lovely and delicate taste with no off flavors.

The restaurant has lovley atmosphere for Roppongi, and the service was great. Unfortunately, the food was not Italian. The vaunted handmade pasta was very thick and boiled until it was gummy. The...

    Tokyo Minato-ku Roppongi 7-22-2
"A cafe located at the first floor entrance to the National Art Center, Tokyo connected directly to Nogizaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line. ""Coquille"" means ""seashell"" in French, and a huge and visually stunning glass curtain wall, undulating like a seashell, encloses the cafe on one side. The cafe is also bright, open, and airy; the spacious indoor atrium area has a 21-meter-high ceiling, while a terrace seating area sprawls just outside. Here you can enjoy a sandwich or other light meal; desserts; and coffee and other beverages at your leisure. The cafe also serves special drinks themed after the museum's special exhibits."

"A cafeteria located on floor B1 of the National Art Center, Tokyo connected directly to Nogizaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line. ""Carre"" means ""square"" in French; a comfortable and pleasant place to relax, the spacious cafeteria's white walls engender a clean and fresh atmosphere, and light pours in through the atrium from outside. A canteen-style establishment, customers line up and take what they want from among many choices laid out in a line; you'll find everything from hashed beef, pastas, and soups, to rice balls, bento box lunches, and snacks. The cafeteria also serves special items in conjunction with museum exhibitions."

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
