    The icebreaking ship Aurora/Aurora 2 are large sightseeing vessels that in seasonal service break the drift ice of Okhotsk. In addition to enjoying the sound and impact of breaking ice from the observation deck, you might also be able to catch sight of wild animals such as seals if you are lucky. You can also watch and relax from the first or second floor where there is good heating. The ships’ schedule is decided depending on the drift ice so it is recommended that you check the official site before you go. Shuttle buses are available from Memanbetsu Airport and JR Abashiri Station.

    A fruit farm located in Abashiri, Hokkaido. Here visitors can enjoy picking a variety of seasonal fruits from late June to late October, including strawberries, cherries, haskap, blueberries, plums, apples, and Japanese pears. In particular, the farm grows an abundant variety of cherries; strawberries; and haskap, a local Hokkaido specialty product, and when these fruits are in season in July, the place bustles with visitors. After paying an entrance fee, visitors can enjoy all-you-can-eat fruit on the grounds. The entry fee and fee for taking home fruits differs by fruit; in addition, the periods in which any given fruit can be picked may vary depending on factors such as the weather, so be sure to check in advance.

    This cruise is operated by the Abashiri City Tourist Association, which is located at Roadside Station Ryuhyo-Kaido Abashiri. Its whale, dolphin, and sea bird watching tours run from April to October. Under the skillful guidance of Captain Maeda, there's a high chance you'll encounter whales and dolphins while getting to see the ecology of the thriving Okhotsk Sea up close. The animals you can see change from month to month, and you might even encounter unexpected animals like killer whales. A cruise lasts about 2 hours 30 minutes.

    The world’s first drift ice-breaker cruise ship Garinko, began in 1987, was replaced with Garinko 2 in 1997, has a total length of 35 meters and can carry up to 195 passengers. In summer it is also acts as a fishing boat and proves to be a powerful force throughout the year. Because it’s the northernmost sea in Japan this is where you’ll find ice-breakers. You can reach the Garinko by a connecting bus in about twelve minutes from Okhotsk Monbetsu Airport. It takes about three hours by intercity bus from JR Asahikawa Station. They also have plenty of events going on all through the year.

    "This exhibition facility is located on the second floor of Bihoro Station in Shinmachi 3-Chome, Bihoro Town, Abashiri County. It opened in 1988 as an exhibition hall covering topics such as Japanese larch forests and wood. During a recent renovation, wooden play equipment such as a slide and tunnel was installed at the facility, which is now known by the nickname ""kiterasu,"" a portmanteau of ""ki"" (meaning wood or tree) and ""terrace."""

    This interactive tourist farm features a full range of its facilities across its vast grounds including a children's petting zoo, a kid's land, and a miniature golf course, and more. Visitors can also try horseback riding. Riding on the back of a horse offers the rider chance to enjoy the idyllic scenery Hokkaido has to offer. The farm's restaurant offers a broad menu including steaks and barbeque made with beef raised on the farm as well as dishes made with fresh seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients.

    This farm is managed by the Japan Deer Society. The 7 hectares grassland is surrounded by a 2-3 meters high fence, and you can view the yezo sika deer relaxing in the farm up close. The farm is large so the deer can be at a distance, but when they notice people standing by the fence the friendly deer will come up close to the fence. If the deer do not approach the fence at first, they will come if you call them. During the baby rush in June, you can also see mother deer looking after their fawns.

    この５，６年毎年訪れています。 全くの初心者の方もＯＫとなっていますが、牧場近辺を歩く（ 常歩）だけなので、他の外乗と大きくは違いませんが。 乗馬経験のある方なら林道や牧草地を駈足でガンガン走れ最高です。速歩でも山の中などを回れますので充分に楽しめます。す。
