A fruits and flowers tourist farm in Nankoku City, Kochi Prefecture, where visitors can enjoy sweet melons and watermelons all year round. About 200 kinds of tropical flowers including bougainvillea and hibiscus, carnivorous plants and cactus, etc. are cultivated and on display in the nursery house, and there are many potted plants for sale too. Strawberry picking is possible from January through to early June with the large, sweet benihoppe and sachinoka varieties on offer. Their specially made fruit jams, such as strawberry jam and melon jam are popular as souvenirs.

There’re so many kind of flowers and fruits all the time! You can also taste great foods and sweets there!

This tourist boat operates in the Shimanto River. Its approximately hour-long regular services depart every hour from the boat dock located on the side of National Route 441 in Tadenokawa, Shimanto City. Passengers can see scenic sights such as the “Onigafuchi no Iwa” as well as seasonal sights such as Kishi azaleas and fireflies. Passengers who make reservations in advance can also enjoy bento boxes onboard the boat. Reservation-only gourmet charter courses are also offered.

凄く綺麗な海でした。はじめは先にお客さんを連れた行ったばかりなので、1時間後と、言われましたが、なんとか都合を付けてくれて、30分待ちに成りました。余り高くはなかったです。１人15xx円端数忘れましたが、３ヵ所珊瑚郡を見せてもらいましたが、最後の珊瑚に感動的です天気も良く海もかなり綺麗に透き通っていました。

廃校を利用した施設で着替えオールを持って、5Ｋｍほど上流にワゴン車で移動します。河原で簡単な講習を受けた後、カヌーに乗り川を下ります。途中数か所流れが速い瀬があり、1度転覆しましたが水面から大自然を見上げむしろ爽快な気分でした。

This sightseeing boat operates off the Tatsukushi Coast in Misaki, Tosashimizu City. Designated as Japan’s first “underwater park” (currently called “marine parks”), this region of ocean is home to Japan’s largest Shikorosango coral cluster. The coast also has many beautiful views and for strange rock formations. The glass-bottomed boat allows visitors to observe the underwater life from above the waves.

因為見残し海岸必須乘船前往，觀光案内所便指示我們到店對面的汽船公司訂票，還送我們折扣券，原價每人1,560円，只需1,480円。觀光汽船算是艘玻璃船，因船底透明可觀看水中情況，它會在海中某幾處位置停船，讓人客觀賞水中珊瑚及魚兒，然後才逕直駛往見殘海岸，不過，景色一般而已。

At the Kuroshio Kobo you can enjoy a workshop learning how to cure freshly caught fish, and to straw-braise bonito, a local delicacy. One can try their hand at shaving and packing the bonito in the beginner’s course, while the intermediate course challenges one from filleting a whole bonito through to the packing method. At the food court, you can enjoy all the local dishes prepared from Central Tosa products.

This little restaurant was just besides our ryokan-onsen. They make delicious bonito tataki. Most of the other food that we tried was also good! I would recommend the tataki. Not a word of English...

This forest railway is located in front of Community Center Umaji in Umaji, Umaji Village, Aki County. The roughly 300-meter-long railway is a 2:3 scale reproduction of the forest railway that was once used to carry lumber here. The top of the steep incline offers a sweeping view of the surrounding scenery.

天気もよく、坂を下り馬路温泉に車を止めて坂を上ると目の前に森林鉄道があり、週末と祝日しかやってないみたいです。木でできた切符をもらい歩いても行ける距離を二周回ってくれます。そよ風も心地よく、川の流れも綺麗でお子さんにはとても喜ばれると思います。

A rural exchange facility that retains the atmosphere of an antique wooden schoolhouse. The initiative integrating the abandoned school in village development was recognized by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications in 2007 for best practices promoting independence and revitalization of depopulated areas nationwide. Locals have long used traditional senba sail boats as a means of transportation throughout the Shimanto River basin. From the end of the Meiji era to the early 1950s, it was said that up to 100 boats might ply the river at once. Ogata Whale Watching is based in Kuroshio Town. Visitors are taken out to sea on boats captained by experienced fishermen, with the chance of seeing pods of Bryde’s Whale and Common Dolphins. The period between late April and late October is the best time to see whales and dolphins, with the period from late November to late March being the off-season. The boats depart from Irino Fishing Harbor in Kushiro Town. Irino Fishing Harbor is about 20–30 minutes’ walk from Tosa-Irino Station. The boat trip takes around four hours; tickets must be booked at least three days in advance.

This tourist train operates on the JR Yodo Line between Kubokawa Station in Shimanto Town, Takaoka County, Kochi Prefecture and Uwajima Station in Nishiki-machi, Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture. The trolley-style train, a modified freight car, offers passengers direct views of the Shimanto River and other scenic sights along the railway.
