The ferry takes around three minutes to make the trip from Kitatorihata-machi, Tobata Ward to Honmachi, Wakamatsu Ward across Dokai Bay and from the ship you can enjoy an amazing view of Wakato Ohashi Bridge from up close.     This tourist strawberry farm is located about a 15-minute drive from Chikushino Interchange on the Kyushu Expressway. All of the strawberries are cultivated elevated grounds at a height of around one meter by the high cultivation technique, allowing guests to enjoy picking strawberries while remaining standing. Guests can enjoy comparing a number of different varieties of strawberry including standards such as Amaou and Tochiotome as well as the farm's own original, Lionichigo cultivar, which cannot be taken off the premises. All of the farm's strawberries are grown with organic fertilizer and low levels of agrochemicals. Guests can also try making jam with frozen Amaou strawberries. The farm, which is by reservation only, is open from mid-December to late May.

    A strawberry farm located along Prefectural Route 582 in Chikushi, Chikushino. They grow several types of strawberries including white strawberries (depending on the season) and offer strawberry picking from late November to early June (reservation required). With the raised strawberry beds you can easily pick berries while standing, and in the sweetshop facing the farm you can enjoy sweets made with freshly picked strawberries. They also offer blueberry picking from early July to late August.

    The sightseeing boats that ply the river in Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture start from the Shogetsu Punting Station. They follow a 4.5-kilometer course to either Ohana or Okinohata and take about 70 minutes. There are several sites along the way like monuments carved with tanka poems and the flood gate will help you enjoy a relaxed trip down the river. The building beside the Shogetsu Punting Station was once home to Kaigetsuro, written about in the poem Risshu by Hakushu Kitahara. Today, it's the Shogetsu Literati Hall with a variety of literary documents on display.

    This tourist fruit farm is located about a 20-minute drive from Asakura Interchange. Yamandon is a corruption of the place name Yamanodo in the local Ukiha dialect. Guests can enjoy picking and eating seasonal fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, grapes, pears, and persimmons all year long. At the farm's cafe Mugoyoka, guests can enjoy cakes or its lunch of the week. The cafe offers a selection of no fewer than 30 cakes made with plenty of seasonal fruit at any given time. We recommend enjoying them with the cafe's blended coffee, which is made with mineral spring water.

One of the largest strawberry farms in Kyushu, it is equipped with multi-level elevated planters. The top and bottom planters are 110 cm and 70 cm off the ground, respectively. The farm uses this system to increase the quality and yield of its strawberry crop by keeping the plants healthy and disease-free. In addition, keeping the fruit away from soil means that visitors can enjoy picking strawberries without getting their hands or clothes dirty. The farm is also wheelchair accessible thanks to its wide aisles. Guests can enjoy 12 varieties of strawberry including Amao and Benihoppe.

    The Kitakyushu Bank Retro Line “Shiokaze” runs from the Kyushu Railway History Museum to the Kanmon Straits Mekari, and travels four stations in around 15 minutes. A blue retro railcar with two engines and two passenger cars, one can travel easily back and forth between the Mojiko retro area and Mekari area. It takes two minutes to walk from JR Mojiko Station to the Kyushu Railway History Museum Station.
