    A ropeway located a 10 minute walk from the Yunoyamaonsen bus stop on Mie Kotsu bus lines. From the ropeway's gondolas, riders can enjoy the seasonal scenery of Mt. Gozaisho, including rhododendrons and other flowers in spring, fall foliage in autumn, and frost covered trees in winter. Many unusual rock formations dot the mountain, as well as the tallest steel tower in Japan, and this variegated scenery ensures riders will be entertained from journey start to end. The farm’s spacious grounds are host to a brewery, café, hot spring bathhouse, and more. At the Ham & Weiner Senmonkan, you can watch ham and sausages being made through a glass window. Visitors can learn about food and farming through a variety of classes on hand making foods. At the educational farm area, children can milk cows and ride ponies. There’s also a restaurant which serves fresh vegetables and pork raised on-site.

    The park is comprised of two main areas. The first is the environment and welfare plaza. Here you’ll find a park golf course, play equipment, and a tree peony garden. A tree peony festival is held here around mid-April. The other area is the Ume Park. This area hosts one of the largest ume (Japanese apricot) gardens in the Tokai area, as well as a blueberry garden. An ume festival is held here around mid-February. Special events are also held at the park during which it bustles with visitors. It depends on the ripeness of the ume, but in general around early June you can also try picking ume in the park.

    The laws of Edo regulating the expenditures of the commoners notwithstanding, the Matsusaka Stripe was the pride and joy of the most fashionably dressed and admired. At Matsusaka Cotton Hand Weaving Center one can experience the depth of weaving while imagining the Edo period when all Matsusaka Cotton was hand-woven. There are two weaving courses available, one for the size needed to cover small accessories and the other for larger fabric about one meter in size, and it is possible to try these courses if one makes a reservation at least three days in advance. It is located approximately 15 minutes by car from Matsusaka IC on the Ise Expressway.

    The Kashikojima Espana Cruise is an approximately 50-minute sightseeing cruise of Ago Bay and while the beauty of the jagged coastline is certainly a highlight, the real drawcard is watching a demonstration of preparing cultured pearls. The actual preparation work takes place every year from May to June, but one can watch the pearl model workshop on the cruise throughout the year. It is approximately three minutes on foot from Kashikojima Station on the Kintetsu Shima Line.

    At Amagoya Hachimankamado & Asari Beach, you can enjoy the luxuriant natural scenery and fresh seafood while learning about the real lifestyles and culture of Ama skin divers directly from veteran divers. Free shuttle bus service from Toba Station to the diver’s hut started in April of 2017 for those who have reserved one of the various sessions available.

You can also enjoy hands-on pottery activities such as pottery making using an electric potter’s wheel, hand forming pottery making as well as ceramic painting.

Visitors who pick strawberries have the option of dipping them directly into a chocolate fountain and eating them. The spacious lawn is equipped with barbecue facilities, and visitors can purchase an empty-handed package deal, for which Tado Green Farm provides the food, or visit at night. Donning multicolored ninja suits, visitors can experience a bit of Iga-style Akame Ninja training like throwing a knife, climbing, walking on water or tightropes, and so on. Their Fishing and Fun at the Sea plan lets you try out sea fishing for goby and Japanese whiting, exploring the seashore, and more according to the season. They also have a Farm Lunch plan that lets visitors dine on vegetables they've picked at the facility's farm prepared as salad or tempura style.     This facility a one-minute walk from Kintetsu Yamada Line's Saiku Station lets visitors experience the various aspects of Japan's Heian Period, including its culture, technologies, games, and more. You can take commemorative photographs wearing an authentic Heian Period ceremonial kimono, and they have plenty of settings for great shots. One of these is a palanquin you can get in like the ones that used to be reserved for the Emperor, Empress, and the shrine maidens of Ise Jingu Shrine. You can also get a feel for the Heian period with games that were popular back then like sugoroku board games, kemari (a sort of kick ball), and kaiawase (a shell matching game). Their exhibitions and activities change throughout the year according to the season, so there are lots of experiences you can only get there.

    This store of traditional Iga braid-making is located on the eastern side of Iga Ueno Park. You can experience kumihimo braiding first-hand at the facility. If you make a reservation, it is possible to make either a key holder or bracelet. Using a marudai (round stand frame for making kumihimo), you will be able to make your own Iga kumihimo in about 20 to 30 minutes. On the second floor, there are historical materials that introduce traditional crafts that represent Mie Prefecture such as Iga-yaki ware and Ise-katagami (type of paper stencil for dyeing textiles). In addition, they also exhibit and sell original kumihimo goods including sashes for kimono, scarves, and dolls made from kumihimo.

    Yokkaichi Fureai Bokujo is located in the foothills of Mt. Gozaisho on the edge of the Suzuka Mountains. Visitors enjoy the experience of interacting with animals, feeding them, milking them, and making butter. Milking and butter-making experiences are available by reservation except from December through March, but visitors are welcome to feed the animals throughout the year. In the Small Animal Area, visitors can interact directly with goats, sheep, and miniature pigs, and if the dairy staff is not too busy, there are special events during which visitors can interact with guinea pigs. While enjoying the rich natural scenery of the ria coast, the ship travels while giving explanations of the characteristics and lifestyles of the various islands. The pleasant talk by the ship's captain is one of the reasons for its popularity. Be sure to go on a sunset cruise to see the shining setting set reflected on the surface of the water from the ship.

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
