This restaurant is located in Muya Town, Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture. Enjoy your meal at table seating or in a tatami room with a harmonious and soft atmosphere. In-season fish from the Naruto seas are the main ingredients. You can watch lively fish swim in the shop tank too. Recommended dishes include the “special selection sashimi teishoku” with a variety of fresh sashimi and the crispy, fried “special selection tempura teishoku.” The set meals come with wakame sea weed soup packed with Naruto wakame. Lots of local sake and shochu available too.

If you have an opportunity to come around here, I strongly recommend to go to this restaurant. You may stand in line for a long time to enter, but I assure to be able to eat very nice fresh fish and...

Tokushima Pref. Tokushimashi Nakanochou 1-46 Acty Annex Building 2F
This restaurant specializes in chicken dishes and can be found on the second floor of the Acty Annex building in Nakano Town, Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture. It is famous among locals and tourists alike for its Awaodori chicken, a Tokushima specialty that was perfected over the course of a decade. The restaurant’s signature dish is “honetsuki awaodori,” which features boned chicken thigh prepared in a specially made pot and seasoned with a secret blend of 17 spices. The skin is crunchy and the meat is soft and juicy, making for a satisfying dining experience. The interior features a subdued modern Japanese ambiance and is perfect for dates or group gatherings.

AwaOdori breed chicken leg is a must-try for everyone who visits Tokushima. We found this restaurant online and decided to go to the head store. We arrived at 6pm for dinner and its only a few...

This diner offers a full range of delicious fishermen’s cuisine made with fresh local fish. They offer highly fresh seafood including grilled seafood assortments and yellowtail sashimi at affordable prices. Although its availability is subject to the weather and the catch, we recommend their namashirasu-don (raw whitebait served on rice). In the winter, the restaurant offers all-you-can-eat grilled oysters from Uchinoumi (inland sea), Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture or Shido, Sanuki City, Kagawa Prefecture, which is so popular that it requires a reservation.

We have eaten at the other restaurant Bibimya just before and this restaurant is reached by driving along the coast along national road number 11 away from Tokushima. We actually wanted to buy...

About five minutes by car via the Naruto-kita Interchange, this restaurant is part of a joint facility in Naruto Park. The first floor has a retail shop offering souvenirs, local specialties and famous products, the second floor has table seating, and the third floor is a restaurant with tatami seating—offering bento boxes and kaiseki courses loaded with local sea fare, like lively sea bream and octopus. Specialty items like famous Naruto sweet potatoes, sudachi and wakame are recommended, as are the famed “Tai-meshi bento”, the healthy “Naruto wakame” set meal, and the fresh and crisp “Uzunoya tai-don.”

    沒有太多選擇,但是服務快速高效。 味道一般,但是我們沒有時間去尋找餐廳,這家商店靠近觀光景點。沒關係,請嘗試一次〜

The hearty yoseyaki is popular at this okonomiyaki (savory pancakes) restaurant. The restaurant, beloved in Tokushima for over 50 years, has many long-term fans. Its varied menu includes suyaki (cabbage-only okonomiyaki), yoseyaki (okonomiyaki with meat, squid, shrimp, egg, and cabbage), yosemameyaki (yoseyaki with beans), and many other combinations to enjoy. Customers can also take their food home and can even order take-out by phone starting at 9 a.m.

The price for eating in this small restaurant could be the smell on your dress at the end of the meal. Small place as I said. Full of smoke. The air that enters when they open the door could help you...

Some of the popular items at this izakaya (Japanese-style pub) include their famous Tokushima gyoza (pot stickers), their honetsuki-dori (roasted bone-in chicken), and their garlic and soy sauce sautéed Irikasu, a Tokushima delicacy. They offer a menu full of delicious and safe dishes made with ingredients sourced locally in Shikoku. The izakaya offers two different course meals which can also be paired with two hours of all-you-can-drink. Course meals require a reservation for at least four diners.

Tried the local delicacy - Chicken and tea rice, also ordered pork with rice and Chinese dumplings. Food was average. Not much choice around the area.

This restaurant offers customers fresh spiny lobster and other seafood shipped straight from Shishikui-cho in southern Tokushima Prefecture that will delight both their eyes and their palate. Customers can enjoy live seafood cooked right at their table at unbelievably affordable prices. There are three luxurious seafood courses to choose from. The restaurant is conveniently open all year except for the new year’s holidays. Customers can also purchase freshly-caught seafood from the Kuroshio Current as gifts.

About 10 minutes on foot from Awatomida Station. This Japanese-style restaurant focuses on serving high quality local sake and fish from Tokushima. Visitors from outside Tokushima come for a relaxing meal in the peaceful atmosphere of grace and wood. “Tai-meshi course” is recommended—a full, grilled Naruto sea bream caught in the Naruto Strait. The luxury of flavor and firm succulent meat is tops—even among natural sea bream. You can also enjoy local Awa sake, and boiled dishes and sashimi made with fresh, local fish.

    地元で人気の「たい飯」をいただくことができましたよ。 酒蒸しや刺身をいただきましたが、何を食べてもおいしいものを 主人が提供してくれます。 出張の方にぜひ寄ってほしい場所ですね!!

This okonomiyaki restaurant opened in 1952 and is about a five-minute walk from Tokushima Station. It’s famous among the locals and is loved by everyone from families to students and office workers coming home from work. Along with the longstanding traditional menu, there’s also okonomiyaki enjoyed by many patrons made from famous Awa ingredients. The okonomiyaki made with plump beans and Naruto red kidney beans are also popular choices. There’s also a rich menu featuring grilled teppanyaki seafood, various side dishes, and sake. The courtyard can be seen from the counter seats, and there’s also tatami seating that can accommodate 40, so visitors can choose whichever fits their purpose.

I have visited here whenever I visit Tokushima, it is a small place but has a tradition. In Japan, they value their traditions, you will enjoy the various style of food and the service is good. The...

The restaurant offers cuisine made with seasonal ingredients in charming spaces that combine Taisho Roman style with Japanese Modern spaces filled with the scent of natural wood. Guests can savor the regional cuisine of Tokushima made exclusively with Tokushima ingredients as well as seasonal kaiseki cuisine. The restaurant's popular lunches, which are limited to just 10 servings per day, feature a variety of dishes served in bite-sized portions.

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the town. Service staff members were very professional and foods were great. Their Japanese garden is worth the visit.

Located near one of Tokushima Prefecture’s most famous sights, Iya Vine Bridge, Ikoi Restaurant features Tokushima regional cuisine. The windows of the tatami rooms in the back of the restaurant offer a splendid view of the Iya River. In addition to soba and udon noodles, Ikoi Restaurant also sells the local specialty known as Dekomawashi, that is, potatoes, tofu, or konnyaku roasted and served on skewers. Near the entrance, a stand selling skewers of sweetfish, masu salmon, and Dekomawashi tempts passersby with treat to take with them.

    「でごまわし」なるものが気になり、ついつい購入してしまいました。じゃがいも、こんにゃくなどを串に刺して、味噌ダレを絡めて焼いたものでした。まぁ、想像通りの味でした。

This restaurant serves amego (red-spotted masu trout) raised in the pure water of clear local streams. Amego is a fish with a light, mild flavor that is available all year. The restaurant’s specialty is its amego no hirara-yaki, Hirara means a flat stone in this region, and hirara-yaki, a dish of tofu, vegetables and amego cooked with miso, is traditionally cooked on the stone. Other items on its menu include seasonal fish served as salt-grilled, sashimi, or in tempura, as well as amego sushi, amego soba (soba noodles served with amego), and Iya soba noodles. The restaurant has preserved its original flavors since it opened as a regional cuisine restaurant more than 30 years ago.

    Tokushima Pref. Miyoshishi Nishiyayamamurazentoku 9-3
Iya Bijin is a restaurant that offers spectacular views of the mountains lining the Iya Gorge and of Iya River. The restaurant makes its own noodles, handling the whole process from the initial stage of Iya Soba buckwheat powder manufacturing through to noodle-making. Besides Soba noodles, Iya Bijin also offers a range of other dishes that embody the natural glories of the Iya region, including Soba-gome-zosui (buckwheat porridge) and grilled Amego (Masu salmon), etc. Tables on the open terrace-which affords brilliant views of the Iya Gorge and Iya River-are particularly popular. The restaurant is attached to a hotel which offers rooms with their own outdoor pools.
