    This restaurant is located in Muya Town, Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture. Enjoy your meal at table seating or in a tatami room with a harmonious and soft atmosphere. In-season fish from the Naruto seas are the main ingredients. You can watch lively fish swim in the shop tank too. Recommended dishes include the “special selection sashimi teishoku” with a variety of fresh sashimi and the crispy, fried “special selection tempura teishoku.” The set meals come with wakame sea weed soup packed with Naruto wakame. Lots of local sake and shochu available too.

Guests can savor the regional cuisine of Tokushima made exclusively with Tokushima ingredients as well as seasonal kaiseki cuisine. The restaurant's popular lunches, which are limited to just 10 servings per day, feature a variety of dishes served in bite-sized portions.

    This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the town. Service staff members were very professional and foods were great. Their Japanese garden is worth the visit.

    Iya Bijin is a restaurant that offers spectacular views of the mountains lining the Iya Gorge and of Iya River. The restaurant makes its own noodles, handling the whole process from the initial stage of Iya Soba buckwheat powder manufacturing through to noodle-making. Besides Soba noodles, Iya Bijin also offers a range of other dishes that embody the natural glories of the Iya region, including Soba-gome-zosui (buckwheat porridge) and grilled Amego (Masu salmon), etc. Tables on the open terrace-which affords brilliant views of the Iya Gorge and Iya River-are particularly popular. The restaurant is attached to a hotel which offers rooms with their own outdoor pools.

The restaurant is conveniently open all year except for the new year’s holidays. Customers can also purchase freshly-caught seafood from the Kuroshio Current as gifts.

    This restaurant serves amego (red-spotted masu trout) raised in the pure water of clear local streams. Amego is a fish with a light, mild flavor that is available all year. The restaurant’s specialty is its amego no hirara-yaki, Hirara means a flat stone in this region, and hirara-yaki, a dish of tofu, vegetables and amego cooked with miso, is traditionally cooked on the stone. Other items on its menu include seasonal fish served as salt-grilled, sashimi, or in tempura, as well as amego sushi, amego soba (soba noodles served with amego), and Iya soba noodles. The restaurant has preserved its original flavors since it opened as a regional cuisine restaurant more than 30 years ago.

    This okonomiyaki restaurant opened in 1952 and is about a five-minute walk from Tokushima Station. It’s famous among the locals and is loved by everyone from families to students and office workers coming home from work. Along with the longstanding traditional menu, there’s also okonomiyaki enjoyed by many patrons made from famous Awa ingredients. The okonomiyaki made with plump beans and Naruto red kidney beans are also popular choices. There’s also a rich menu featuring grilled teppanyaki seafood, various side dishes, and sake. The courtyard can be seen from the counter seats, and there’s also tatami seating that can accommodate 40, so visitors can choose whichever fits their purpose.

    About five minutes by car via the Naruto-kita Interchange, this restaurant is part of a joint facility in Naruto Park. The first floor has a retail shop offering souvenirs, local specialties and famous products, the second floor has table seating, and the third floor is a restaurant with tatami seating—offering bento boxes and kaiseki courses loaded with local sea fare, like lively sea bream and octopus. Specialty items like famous Naruto sweet potatoes, sudachi and wakame are recommended, as are the famed “Tai-meshi bento”, the healthy “Naruto wakame” set meal, and the fresh and crisp “Uzunoya tai-don.”

    Located near one of Tokushima Prefecture’s most famous sights, Iya Vine Bridge, Ikoi Restaurant features Tokushima regional cuisine. The windows of the tatami rooms in the back of the restaurant offer a splendid view of the Iya River. In addition to soba and udon noodles, Ikoi Restaurant also sells the local specialty known as Dekomawashi, that is, potatoes, tofu, or konnyaku roasted and served on skewers. Near the entrance, a stand selling skewers of sweetfish, masu salmon, and Dekomawashi tempts passersby with treat to take with them.

    所用が有り、ランチに利用しました。常にお客さんが途切れず満席が続き驚きましたが食べて納得、大変美味しくメインのおかずだけで無く惣菜も丁寧に作られていて最後まで飽きずに食べ切れました。ご飯が少なめですが食べ終わりはお腹満足でした。シラス丼は特に絶品でした。
