  • Uraga's Watashi-bune Ferry Boat

    "This ferry boat, known to locals as the ""Ponpon Boat,"" is a symbol of Uraga. The west dock is adjacent to the Konyacho bus stop a five-minute ride on the bus line bound for Kurihama Station leaving from Keikyu Uraga Station. The east dock is a five-minute walk from the Shinmachi bus stop a five-minute ride on the bus line bound for Kamoi leaving from Keikyu Uraga Station. The ferry takes three minutes to cross the Uraga Channel extending between the east and west sides of Uraga Port. The ferry has no set schedule; instead, if the ferry is on the opposite side, you press a call button and it comes over to your side. From the boat, passengers can see the site of the crane and dock of the Uraga Shipyard."

    "At this tourist farm, a 15-minute drive from the Uraga Interchange on the Yokohama Yokosuka Road, you can pick blueberries while enjoying a view of the sea. The farm grows its blueberries naturally, without relying on agricultural chemicals or chemical fertilizers, in order to draw out the innate natural strength of the berries as much as possible. Blueberry picking is offered from mid-July to early August; lemon picking is also offered from mid-November to early February. Both blueberry and lemon picking are reservation only, so be sure to make a reservation by phone no later than the day before you intend to come. The farm was designed with a Mediterranean theme and was used to film ""Thermae Romae II;"" accordingly, you can also visit famous filming areas from the movie after you pick fruit."

    This fruit farm is located right next to the Kunugidai Danchi Iriguchi bus stop and is also a three-minute walk from the Nishihara Jutaku Iriguchi bus stop and 10 minutes from Tsurugamine Station. As its name implies, the farm grows blueberries. The farm grows highly sweet, large blueberry varieties which are meant to be enjoyed raw. The farm is open in most years from mid-July to mid-September and also offers blueberry picking which allows you to take home the blueberries you pick. In addition, the farm has a cafe which serves quantities-limited original blueberry desserts, and holds ice cream-making classes. Enjoying a meal in the cafe's terrace seating area is also popular.

Picking organically grown grapes, pears, chestnuts, persimmons and kiwis is held in season; plums are only available for sale."

    This tourist farm is popular for its blueberries. It's been certified organic by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. They cultivate three types of rabbiteye blueberries: Woodart, Home Bell, and Tifblue. The farm offers blueberry picking that overlooks the ocean, air filled with the scent of the sea.

    A farm open to the public that puts a lot of effort into harvesting experiences and selling fresh picked vegetables at their farm stand. From early July to mid-August, you can pick vegetables such as sweet corn, tomato, eggplant, cucumber, and okra. From mid-June to mid-August, you can also try your hand at picking a wide variety of blueberries.

    A Ferris wheel at the Lake Sagami Resort Pleasure Forest at an elevation of 420 meters. It has a view of the amusement park, Lake Sagami, or on clear days even Mt. Fuji in the distance. You spend 13 minutes up in the air with each turn of the wheel. You can also ride with your dog if you hold it tightly or place it on a pet sheet with the lead on.

    The last orchard in Sagamihara City. It has a beautiful view of the Tanzawa Mountain Range that forms the backdrop of the 3,500 square meter site. It has about 900 blueberry bushes, primarily of the Spartan variety. The extended harvest period lasts from early June to early September. They also produce and sell grafted seedlings.

    A tourist farm operated by about 22 local farmers in Nagura, which is located between Lake Sagami and the Akiyama River. Visitors can experience harvesting crops, including digging sweet potatoes and picking shiitake mushrooms. There is also a recreational fish farm where you can enjoy the colors of their flower garden, catching rainbow trout by hand, or having a barbecue.

    Enjoy picking sweet mandarin oranges while taking in the magnificent view of Sagami Bay and the autumn colors of the mountains. The season lasts from early October to late December. As they grow on an exposed area of the mountain and get a lot of sun, Yugawara's mandarin oranges are famous for their sweetness.

    This is an experience corner in Hakone-en, a tourist facility complex operated by Prince Hotel. You can try your hand at painting pottery. Inside the shop, you will find unglazed containers such as cups, plates, trinkets and ornaments. Participants can choose their favorite items and paint them with paints and glazes. Once the painting is done, it is immediately put into the kiln and fired for about 30 minutes. They can be taken home immediately.

    A pottery experience workshop run by a pottery studio. They are working to develop their own original pottery style using Hakone clay and with the same clay you can try making your own piece of art. You can make a simple cup or tea-cup in about one hour. Your piece will then be dried and fired in the workshop and delivered to you in about one to two months' time. This hands-on class is always available and they also offer limited seasonal pottery classes. There are also special classes that make use of carefully selected clay.

    Located nearly a seven-minute drive along the Yato Farm Road from the Oi-Matsuda Interchange along the Tomei Expressway. In this peaceful location you can enjoy orange picking and potato harvesting amongst other activities. On clear days you can look out and see as far as Sagami Bay and Mt. Fuji and within the park there are mini replications of steam locomotives and the Odakyu Romance Car running about the park. They also offer free to borrow lawn sleds and feature a barbeque area. Most of the park is flat making this a great place to visit for those with strollers or small children. They grow two types of mandarin oranges, a quick ripening variety that comes into season in mid-October and Aoshima Mikan and you can enjoy as many as you like while in the park and take 1.5kg home as a souvenir.

    A 10-minute drive from the Oi-Matsuda Interchange on the Tomei Expressway. At this comprehensive leisure farm you can enjoy activities including harvesting rice, vegetables, and fruit as well as processing the agricultural goods and other experiences. The farm was created in 2016 with a focus on rentable farm plots and an attached hot spring bath. They have rice paddies, fruit tree orchards, vegetable plots and more and if you become an owner-member you can enjoy some outdoor leisure activities and the relaxed feel of countryside life. Along with experiences Japan's countryside farming culture in cooperation with local farmers they also hold special seasonal events throughout the year.

    A seven-minute walk from the west exit of Chogo Station on the Odakyu Enoshima Line. Come experience picking fruit at this farm built around the concept of Made Healthy, Made More Delicious. Come enjoy the pure deliciousness of fruit grown with complete control over a variety of factors including soil quality, light, and more. It's not all you can eat and the price does depend on how much you pick so carefully deciding just what to harvest is part of the experience. They grow a wide variety of different fruits from plums available in late May to Japanese persimmons in early December. The on-site shop opens in late July.

    A pleasure boat cruise that runs from midway along Enoshima Benten Bridge to Chigogafuchi. The cruise crosses the sea in approximately seven-minutes and along with the panoramic view of Enoshima Island from the water you can also see as far as Mt. Fuji on a clear day. The boat accommodates up to 30 passengers and the boarding tickets feature charming illustrations. There are both indoor and deck seating available and you may even encounter another Benten-maru making the return trip. The boat makes for a convenient way to access Enoshima and lets you enjoy the salty sea breeze.

    神奈川県立の施設。 駐車場はかなり広いです。 思っていたよりも広く、様々な展示などがあり楽しめました。 遠く富士山も眺められます。 近ければ散歩や子供を遊ばせるのに良いなと思います。 レストランやショップで一定額以上購入すれば駐車料金が無料になります。

    梅雨の晴れ間期待でその通り30度超えで丁度良しでした。ジェラートは、結構コストパフォーマンスが十分でした。

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
