    It is an all-weather hot spring theme park located in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture. In the amusement zone where you can have fun with your bathing suits on, there is a collection of unique baths which can be enjoyed by both adults and children such as the “Gods’ Aegean Sea” and the “Authentic Coffee bath”. In the open-air bath “Mori no Yu” which brims with Japanese style, you can melt into the magnificent nature of Hakone in the open-air baths and you can relax comfortably in the bath where the walls, floor and ceiling are clad in Hinoki cypress. Coming for a day trip is of course possible, but as there are also four official hotels it is also feasible to stay.

There’s also a hanjunmaku, a traditional Korean sauna facility for promoting beauty and health. Other facilities include a stone sauna and aromatherapy. Ryusenji no yu also offers Japan’s first “aroma salts” space. Mineral rich water steam and aromatherapy fragrances are used to promote bodily health. Finally, there’s a restaurant and children’s play area.

There are also a variety of esthetic services available including body care, foot care, and exfoliation treatment. Admission is for junior high school students and older.

    A two minute walk from Enoshima Electric Railway Hase Station. Look for the large, stylish red brick building. The communal area has a fireplace and bar and can be used by non-guests as well. There’s a women’s dormitory and a men and women’s dormitory with four person and two person (double/twin) rooms. A free breakfast is served in the morning. The facility also provides kimono and bicycle rentals and is visited by many international guests.

    Overall, a very pleasant stay. We arrived around 1:30 and were able to check in to our room early. The woman who greeted us spoke good English and was very kawaii and Genki! We really felt welcomed...

The hotel has a retro atmosphere flavored by Japan’s Taisho Roman period; its many old-fashioned sash windows make the interior bright and open. The bar Little Planet opened underneath in October 2016. Guests can take food and drinks bought in the bar and bring them into the guesthouse above.

A guesthouse operating out of an old Japanese-style home standing quietly in the Zaimokuza neighborhood, an area which once flourished as a port town. This tiny lodging facility has two private rooms and one dormitory-style room. On the weekends, the facility also operates as a café called Café Kamejikan. The café serves home-style dishes made with fresh, locally-grown vegetables. The café is open to non-guests as well and is a popular place for locals to stop by and relax in.

The spa is supplied by Enoshima’s only natural hot spring, which wells up from 1,500 meters below the surface of the island. The hot spring waters have a high salt content, good for helping to retain warmth, and the facility is accordingly popular with women for the benefits this water provides with aiding intestinal health. Built facing the sea, bathers in the outdoor pool can enjoy a sweeping view of Sagami Bay. The spa does not have any lodging facilities, but combination plans are offered in conjunction with various hotels. Enoshima Island Spa is located at the entrance to the island just past Enoshima Ohashi Bridge.

The waters of the facility’s hot spring source well up from 1,500 meters below the ground and are rich in sodium chloride, which beautifies the skin, eases weariness, and soothes nerve and muscle pain. The facility’s rest area for use after your bath provides towels and mats and you can even lay spread out on the tatami mat flooring. There is also a dining area where you can enjoy fresh seafood cuisine made with fish shipped directly from the local Chigasaki fish market.

    This town-operated day trip bathing facility is located near Manyo in Yugawara Town, Ashigarashimo County, Kanagawa Prefecture. Feel the splendor of the four seasons as you relax in the natural hot spring water. There are two large baths in the facility: “Koume no Yu” and “Manyo no Yu,” and both feature large open spaces. Men and women switch facilities on different days. The free rest area offers an excellent view, and there’s also a teahouse. “Tantan Yakisoba” is a popular item, and it goes well with beer after a dip in the springs.

    湯河原駅から車で7-8分の所にある日帰り温泉こごめの湯。この日は夫婦で湯河原梅林、梅の宴に行った帰りに立ち寄りました。一汗かいた後はやっぱり温泉!この施設は地元の方も多く利用するらしくかなりにぎわっていました。無料駐車場も完備。気軽に入れる雰囲気の温泉。大人1000円、梅林の入場券を見せるとなんと200円引き!

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
