Kappa Tengoku hot springs resort
Located on a hill about three minutes’ walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Kappa Tengoku is a hot springs resort that is ideal for day-visitors. With its nostalgia—inducing retro-style buildings and open-air baths with water flowing from the resort’s own natural hot springs water source, Kappa Tengoku is a great place for relaxing both mind and body. From the foot-bath, which overlooks Hakone-Yumoto Station, visitors can look across at the streetscape of Yumoto in front of them, or look down at the trains going back and forth on the Hakone Tozan Railway. Kappa Tengoku is ideally located for dropping in while you are waiting for the Odakyu “Romancecar” limited express train. Private baths and rooms for an overnight stay are also available, for a more relaxed experience.
