The farm is spaciously laid out and the pathways between strawberry rows are wide, ensuring those with baby strollers and wheelchair users can also easily enjoy strawberry picking.

- Oita Bungotakada-shi Kodawara 557-1
- This tourist farm is surrounded by the Katsura River to the east, west, and north. The farm grows strawberries using raised platforms in plastic greenhouses on its 50-hectare grounds. Making maximum use of its naturally lush location at the foot of a mountain, the farm uses tree scraps from the area for fuel and humus. Visitors can enjoy picking Beni Hoppe and three other varieties of strawberries generally from late March to early May. For 40 minutes, customers can pick and eat as many strawberries as they like. In addition to families with children, the farm is a great destination for couples. In December, the farm also sells strawberries packaged to give as gifts.

Oita Areas
A trip to Oita is tantamount to a long soak in the Beppu baths. The mountainous, coastal prefecture of Oita is renowned for having more onsen than any other prefecture in Japan, most of which lie in the city of Beppu on the west coast of Kyushu, recognizable by its pungent sulphuric aroma and the clouds of steam that puff up across the hillside. Away from the Beppu hot springs await mountains, waterfalls, and temples, so don’t hesitate to explore Oita a little further.
