Oyama Farm has been producing milk for over 60 years and raises Jersey cows, which are said to make up just 0.6% of all milk cows in the country. This shop, owned and operated by the farm, sells Jersey cow milk, additive-free soft serve ice cream, fresh-baked breads, original frozen desserts, namagashi fresh Japanese confections, and more. Jersey cows produce less milk than other breeds, but their milk is more nutritious and richer than ordinary milk cows. Customers can enjoy food they have purchased using the benches and terrace seats outside.

This center, with a name that means an abundant ocean in Italian, is a hands-on learning center here in the heart of the birthplace of young yellowtail fisheries, where visitors can try their hand at fishing for sea bream, or feed the young yellowtail at Ado Pond. Enveloped in the sea breezes from the Seto Inland Sea, they have exhibits and areas for learning about the cultivation of young yellowtail. People of all ages, from young to old, can come here and learn while enjoying a day at this center. From the deck, visitors can toss feed into a young yellowtail tank and enjoy watching the fish congregate while spraying water all around. The powerful tussling movements of the fish before one’s eyes is magnificent to see.

Kagawa Areas

around-area-map

Japan’s smallest prefecture, Kagawa, may take up just a small corner of Shikoku, but it has grown increasingly popular with the recognition of Naoshima, its "art island" in the Seto Inland Sea between Shikoku and Honshu. Just a stone’s throw from the islands, mainland Kagawa’s prefectural capital, Takamatsu, holds history in its castle ruins and its pride and joy, Ritsurin Garden, is known as one of the country’s best gardens.
