With good access from Ritsurin Garden which is designated as a Special Place of Scenic Beauty, Yashima Island, and the temples of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, you'll definitely want to stop by. Besides Sanuki udon, there are a lot of popular products such as the ""Nakano Udon School Set"" where you make the noodles by hand. They stock a lot of other special products from Shikoku too."

Situated on the southern edge of nature-enshrouded Naiba Dam amidst the beautiful Sanuki Mountains, the farm raises Holsteins and Japanese Black cattle. The cows drink the natural mineral-rich spring water of the area’s mountains, resulting in quality milk that is renowned for its slightly sweet flavor. The content of the farm’s milk is left unaltered and it is bottled after only being pasteurized, not homogenized, and some say you can’t get milk that is any fresher than this. With an advance reservation, visitors can do activities such as making a pizza, mozzarella cheese, or butter with the farm’s fresh milk.

Kagawa Areas

around-area-map

Japan’s smallest prefecture, Kagawa, may take up just a small corner of Shikoku, but it has grown increasingly popular with the recognition of Naoshima, its "art island" in the Seto Inland Sea between Shikoku and Honshu. Just a stone’s throw from the islands, mainland Kagawa’s prefectural capital, Takamatsu, holds history in its castle ruins and its pride and joy, Ritsurin Garden, is known as one of the country’s best gardens.
