This complex is at the entrance to Kumano, the World Heritage Site area. To reach it, take the Mie Kotsu Bus from JR Kumanoshi Station and get off at the Onigajyo-higashiguchi Bus Stop. It's about a three-minute walk from there. The first-floor shop sells drinks made with Niihime, a special citrus fruit of the area, finished products, and the rare Nachiguro-ishi black stone that's only found in Kamikawa-cho, Kumano City. Their second-floor Sea View Restaurant offers a menu with local ingredients including dishes like their Red and White rice bowl with Kumano sea bream and tuna. Their crunchy shrimp cutlets and their local Niihime Burgers with tartar sauce made with Niihime juice are popular.

This longstanding Japanese confectioner first opened in 1738 and their famous Lucky Mochi has been an Ise favorite since the Edo period. Their Lucky Mochi is made of white mochi made from Kyushu mochi-rice wrapped around smooth red-bean paste, giving it a simple sweetness without being too heavy. Each hand-shaped treat creates a shape that brings to mind the waves around Futamino-ura. They also sell a popular red-bean paste lollipop called Ofuku Ice Mac. Inside the shop is an attached café where they offer tea and shaved ice alongside traditional Japanese confections. The nearest station is Futamino-Ura Station.

This is a Great place to stop in for wonderful mochi and a cup of green tea. It is very relaxing and comfortable to rest form walking along the beach.

Located approximately a five-minute drive from the Ise Expressway Seiwataki Interchange, this is the antenna shop of Kokekokko Republic, which has a large chicken signboard as its marker. Reasonably priced because it is a direct sales store, you can purchase and eat safe and fresh cage-free fertilized eggs and chicken meat. In addition to their famous tamago-kake gohan (raw egg over rice bowl) with all-you-can-eat eggs, their set with locally-raised chicken also gets good reviews. They also sell handmade cream puffs, pudding and castella sponge cake using plenty of cage-free fertilized eggs.

This is the direct sales store of a long-established apiary founded in 1912. It conducts transplant beekeeping all over Japan together with honeybee hives following the changing flower seasons throughout the country. Inside the store with a retro, Taisho period(1868-1912) atmosphere, colorful jars of honey are lined up. They sell hachimitsu monaka ice made with honey and milk ice cream sandwiched between monaka (thin crisp mochi wafers) shaped like shells, and this store's special hachimitsu potatoes with sweet potato sticks coated with honey.

This honey store opened in 1990 as a company store for Mizutani Bee Farm. It is a seven-minute walk from JR Matsusaka Station. The large shop curtain outside is the store’s landmark. You’ll find honey from various periods and regions, all of it safe and high-quality, not to mention affordable. The “hachimitsu monaka ice” made from Mie-produced milk and glutinous rice from Niigata is popular. The honey’s sweetness is redolent of olden times. There are also limited-time seasonal varieties available.

Toraya Uiro Naikumae Branch, located in Oharai Town which is near Ise-jingu Shrine Naiku in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, is a Japanese sweet shop, and the main shop opened in 1923. It recreates uiro (rice flour pudding) which was traditionally made in Ise, and about 35 types ranging from standard flavors to season limited items are manufactured and sold. There is a range of colourful uiro including Ogura Uiro from Japanese red beans as well as Sakura Uiro with sakuramochi flavor, and they are popular as a local sweet with tea as well as a tourist souvenir. The spongy texture and elegant sweetness is superb.

This veteran shop specializing in Ise kamaboko is about five minutes on foot from JR and Kintetsu Ise City Station. Their high-grade kamaboko produced by skilled craftsmen could never be made by a machine. The most popular variety is Ise hiryozu, a filling fried fish cake incorporating nine healthy ingredients including Ise hijiki that's delicately simmered for about 15 minutes in rice oil. Their Cheese Sticks, satsuma-age kamaboko with piping hot cheese, has long been a best seller with customers of all ages.

You’ll find this confectionery near Naiku, Ise-jingu Shrine in Oharai Town, Ise City, Mie Prefecture. It is run by the Akafuku Group. You’ll find Japanese sweets that evoke the seasons as well as Western sweets, Japanese tea, and more. The “okage inu shortbread” is inspired by a dog that came all the way to Ise in its master’s stead, and makes a popular souvenir with tourists. The café space offers Akafuku rice cakes and matcha tea sets as well as other sweets. The charming building was restored from an old Ise warehouse, and you can gaze at the dry landscape garden from the tatami and table seats.

This bonito smoking shop in Daiozaki, Nakiri, Shima City is over 100-years-old. Their dried bonito was once used as an offering to Ise-jingu Shrine and they still use their traditional hand-made techniques of “tebiyama” stacking smoke boxes. You can get tours to see how they prepare the charcoals and make the bonito for “Kiwametsuki Katsuobushi (High-Quality bonito)” and “Ise Nakiribushi.” (for a fee) Once they’re done you can experience shaving the bonito flakes yourself, sample some of the best bonito dashi soup, and taste the freshly carved bonito on top of a bowl of hot rice as Okaka Gohan.

It has a dine-in space, and you can enjoy traditional Japanese sweets such as the famous henba mochi with tea. By the way, there used to be a henba-jo to send back horses when worshippers crossed the Miyagawa River to head towards Ise Jingu Shine in the Edo period (1603-1868). It is said the henba mochi came from the sweets given there.

This veteran Japanese sweet shop was established in 1775. Their Henba Mochi sweets are round, flat, and browned on both sides. They're made with carefully selected, domestically produced ingredients, and the shop continues to produce them with the traditional flavor they've been known for since their founding. These tasty treats are popular for the unique texture that rice flour gives them and the melt-in-your-mouth goodness of their koshian strained bean paste filling. You can eat them right in the shop, and they're so popular that they sometimes sell out before 17:00. They also have Sawa Mochi (a sweet that's well-known in the Iseshima and Matsusaka region), Brown Sugar Mochi (made by blending brown sugar with glutinous mochi rice), and in summer, mizu yokan (chilled sweet bean jelly).
