"A long-standing department store located right in front of the ""Korinbo"" bus stop a 10 minute ride from the east exit of JR Kanazawa Station on the city bus. The department store is the main tenant of Kohrinbo Atrio, a top shopping zone in the Hokuriku area which hosts fashionable apparel and department stores. The department store carries high quality goods such as international brands, international and domestic cosmetics brands, and the latest fashions, and is a particularly popular destination for young women. The facility is also a convenient place to look for souvenirs, and on floor B1 you'll find various shops selling renowned Ishikawa sweets and local specialty products. A good old-fashioned children's play land is located on the roof."

A shop owned and operated by the Hakuichi gold leaf company. The shop operates out of a remodeled old public bath building in the Higashi Chaya District, a charming area where many old Japanese homes and teahouses stand side by side. Making use of the high ceilings of this former public bath, the shop's open and airy sales space is filled with a variety of gold leaf-decorated crafts. Particularly popular items include the shiny gold leaf cosmetics and oil blotting papers. The shop even has free test products for customers to sample. Many customers are also sure to order a cone of soft serve vanilla ice cream covered with a sheet of ritzy gold leaf.

Gold leaf did not taste like much, but it was an experience that you don’t get all that often! Icecream was simple soft serve, but the eating was part of the adventure!

"A shop which makes and sells items decorated with gold and silver leaf located a seven minute drive from JR Kanazawa Station. The shop's name is derived from an actual agency which once governed the use of gold and silver foil. The shop is notable for its adaptability-in addition to maintaining the traditional techniques of ""enzuke"" gold leafing, the shop also makes use of modern gold leafing techniques as is deemed appropriate to the situation. The main shop location allows visitors to observe artisans working with gold leaf and is the only place where you can see a tearoom decorated with some 40 thousand sheets of highest quality ""enzuke"" gold leaf, a traditional technique highly prized in the restoration of National Treasures. In addition, the shop sells a wide selection of original products only a specialty shop like this can carry such as Hakuji gold leaf ceramics."

Stocking 20 or more varieties of popular traditional crafts from Kanazawa, a former castle town and cultural leader of the Kaga area, here you’ll find handcrafted postcards created with Kaga yuzen techniques, saikumono handiwork, and more. Facing Saigawa-odori Avenue and located close to the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa and the Kenrokuen garden, the shop sells gold leaf materials and gold leaf crafts and also holds a variety of workshops. The shop’s most popular workshop is its gold leafing activity, which lets you handle real gold leaf just one 10,000th of a millimeter thick. Under the tentative guidance of an instructor, you can make your own gold leaf hand mirror, small bon tray, postcard, or badge, the perfect opportunity to make a memory of your trip to Kanazawa that will last a lifetime. The gold leaf ice cream activity, in which you apply gold leaf to a soft serve ice cream cone, is also popular.

This is a Suzu-yaki exhibition and store located in Takojima Town, Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. There are a large number of modern potteries’ works displayed in the facility. The simple but powerful and unique Suzu-yaki represents the style of pottery of the late Heian period when medieval Sea of Japan culture flourished. Although this style of pottery disappeared soon after this period, it was revived in 1976. They are popular as “Noto” souvenirs because the more they are used the more they develop a tasteful, worn look. A range of everyday useful pottery is available in the store such as beer cups, teacups and vases.
