About a 20-minute drive from Yatomi Interchange on the Tomeihan Expressway is the Tokai region's largest blueberry farm. The farm ranges over 14,000 square meters and boasts more than 2,000 blueberry trees. Inside the farm is three meters worth of blueberry plants, which allows visitors to enjoy blueberry picking in a spacious space. These blueberries are full of vitamins from the sun, and are known for their concentrated flavor. Blueberry picking season runs from early June to late August. Because the farm is hard to locate via GPS, it is recommended to use the Kaizu City Kaizu Purification Center as a guide.

Including masu used as congratulatory cups from a traditional size of three shaku (about 54 ml) to one go (about 180 ml), they sell many drinking sets such as their Apollo Wine Masu that is suited for drinking wine, wine coolers and a masu mug coated with a urushi coating. They also manufacture and sell everyday goods including magazine racks and eco humidifiers using traditional masu making techniques. Their “Goukaku Shimasu” (you will succeed) and “Goukaku Masu Strap” (success sake cup strap) created as lucky charms are highly recommended.
  • Tumitumi Strawberry Farm

    Gifu Pref. Motosushi Soinakajima 974-1
A farm located a five minute walk from Tarumi Railway Motosu Station where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat Nohime strawberries, a Gifu Prefecture branded variety of strawberry known for its large size, tender flesh, and superb balance of sweetness and tartness. The farm is open from mid-December to early June; an advance reservation is required. The farm cultivates its strawberries hydroponically on raised platforms, ensuring even those with wheelchairs and strollers can easily make their way between the plants. The farm also offers mini tomato picking of a vivid red, highly sweet variety which scores over 10 degrees on the Brix scale. In addition, the farm sells these tomatoes by volume, and many people come here just to buy some mini tomatoes to use at home.
