Tumitumi Strawberry Farm
A farm located a five minute walk from Tarumi Railway Motosu Station where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat Nohime strawberries, a Gifu Prefecture branded variety of strawberry known for its large size, tender flesh, and superb balance of sweetness and tartness. The farm is open from mid-December to early June; an advance reservation is required. The farm cultivates its strawberries hydroponically on raised platforms, ensuring even those with wheelchairs and strollers can easily make their way between the plants. The farm also offers mini tomato picking of a vivid red, highly sweet variety which scores over 10 degrees on the Brix scale. In addition, the farm sells these tomatoes by volume, and many people come here just to buy some mini tomatoes to use at home.
