Established in 1929, this is a well-established eel restaurant in Kamakura whose closest station is Enoshimsa Dentetsu’s Wadazuka Station. Thanks to the secret sauce that has not changed over several decades, the plump eel is characteristic for its elegant taste with a subtle sweetness. All of their eel dishes are prepared only after the order is received, so cooking takes about one hour to prepare. It is recommended to visit after making a reservation. Children that are not yet of school age are not allowed.

As a frequent Japan visitor, I really Don’t recommend this place. The modern generation of Japanese are open-minded and this restaurant sadly live in the atone age honor when Kawabata Yasunari has...

This is an original Japanese style restaurant about one minute's walk from Kamakura Station, in Onari-cho, Kamakura City.

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
