    A souvenir and gift store standing on the Kokura Kaido Highway in Shinminato-machi, Beppu City. The store sells specialty products, seafood, local sake, and arts and crafts from Oita and throughout Kyushu. The adjoining Take Miraikan museum displays examples of traditional Beppu takezaiku bamboo work. Local dishes are served in the facility’s two restaurants—Take no Restaurant Chikushi and Umibe no Restaurant Shiosai, which boasts a sweeping view of Beppu Bay.

    別府温泉のおみやげが揃っていると、わざわざ駐車料金まで払って買いに行った。880円で買った商品が道の駅で650円で売っていた。約35％高であった。こんなにも高く売るのは消費者として納得し難い。二度と行かない。

    A popular restaurant founded over 90 years ago which serves tendon tempura rice bowls covered with a secret sauce handed down by the original proprietor. The hearty tokudai tendon comes topped with two extra large shrimp and four kinds of vegetables. Diners can also enjoy sashimi made with fresh, plump seafood caught in the Bungo Channel; such Oita specialties as toriten chicken tempura, ryukyu marinated sashimi, and dangojiru dumpling soup. The restaurant’s seafood is made with fish from the restaurant’s own live tank as well as mackerel and horse mackerel caught with a fishing pool in the sea of Saganoseki. The establishment serves local Seki mackerel and Seki horse mackerel ikizukuri; local cuisine meals which include dishes like chicken tempura and Ryukyu; and seafood course meals. A reservation only all-you-can-eat buffet is located on the third floor; the restaurant also operates a rooftop beer garden in summer.

Popular lunch selections include a seafood rice bowl topped with around 10 different varieties of seasonable seafood, and Ryukyu, a local dish consisting of marinated sashimi.

    A steal especially during lunch:980y for the kaisen don, which came with soup, tofu and an appetizer. There was a limited English menu provided, which didnt include translations for the ala carte...

    At this Japanese restaurant, a five-minute walk from JR Yokoku Station, you can enjoy kaiseki course cuisine made with live seafood from the sea off Hiji at reasonable prices. The marbled sole mini set meal, only served at lunch, is particularly popular and is made with the area's rare brand name Shiroshita Karei marbled sole raised in ocean where freshwater intermixes. Unlike standard righteye flounder, Shiroshita Karei marbled sole is flavorful and free from off flavors, and its meat grows sweeter the more you chew. In addition to course meals, the restaurant also has a la carte dishes such as its own original marbled sole sushi, marbled sole nitsuke stewed in soy sauce, and sashimi. The restaurant's Hiji daggertooth pike conger course meals and set meals are also popular.

    "At this facility located on the grounds of the Daikokuya hot spring inn located near the Kannawa Steam Bath, you can enjoy ""hell steamed"" cuisine cooked using a special steamer which harnesses the heat of the area's hot spring steam. Inn guests can use the facility for free, but non-guests can also use it for a small fee. You can purchase chicken wings and other foods provided on-site, but many customers bring their own food purchased from a nearby supermarket. Customers are provided with wicker steaming baskets to use for cooking. ""Hell steaming"" concentrates the innate flavors of the foods and is a style of cooking unique to Beppu which is highly popular with tourists."

    가족과 기념이 될만한 곳을 찾아 방문했는데 꽤 즐거웠다. 한국어로 된 안내문도 있었고, 셀프로 음식을 주문하고 셀프 타이머를 이용해 음식을 쪄먹을 수 있었다. 채소나 해산물을 주로 양념되지 않은 상태에서 쪄먹기 때문에 간이 매우 심심하다. 이런경험을 하는 것이 아이들에게 추억이 될 것같다.

    "This kaiseki tea ceremony cuisine restaurant is situated on the Ideyu-zaka hill road. For lunch, you can enjoy one of two differently priced staple kaiseki lunch meals, as well as a ""hell steamed"" lunch characteristic of the local Kannawa area made with vegetables steamed using the heat of a hot spring. Customers can also order ""hell steamed"" a la carte dishes. The restaurant also serves a ""hell steamed"" course meal and local kaiseki cuisine meals at night. The restaurant's steamed seafood meal and dinner kaiseki meals require an advance reservation. Customers can also enjoy a boiled tofu set meal from November to March."

    ランチに伺いました。 蒸し料理のセットを注文。 温泉卵の乗ったおそばや、エビ、とても美味しかったです。 お部屋は個室で、感染対策としては本当に良かったです。

    リニューアルしたとの事で2023年1月20日行きました。寿司レーンは回っている物は無く、完全な注文特急方式、湯呑などは自分で取りに行く方式で、最近世間を騒がしている事件の様なイタズラが起きにくい店です。更にお寿司も価格の割に一段と美味しくなっていました。家族向けにおすすめです。

    とても雰囲気のある古民家レストランお洒落な落ち着いた空間が素敵です。 個室も座敷もあるので、小さな子供がいても利用しやすいです。 ランチの種類も結構選べていいです。次から次へと提供されるので、あまり待つことはありませんでした。 雰囲気もお味も優しいので、ゆっくりできました。

    会社の飲み会で月曜日に4500円の飲み放題付きのコースで利用しました。いサラダ、刺身、海鮮焼き、豚しゃぶ、鯛めし、デザートありで且つ飲み放題も注文しても直ぐ来るし大満足でした。平日でも満席なので予約した方が無難です。

A trip to Oita is tantamount to a long soak in the Beppu baths. The mountainous, coastal prefecture of Oita is renowned for having more onsen than any other prefecture in Japan, most of which lie in the city of Beppu on the west coast of Kyushu, recognizable by its pungent sulphuric aroma and the clouds of steam that puff up across the hillside.
