    This reservation-only Japanese restaurant is situated on the bank of the Arida River. The restaurant only uses ingredients from Shimizu Town such as edible wild plants, river fish, and mushrooms. The content of the restaurant's signature Tsumikusa Kaiseki course meal vary depending on the season - Biwa trout in spring; sweetfish in summer; and, in autumn and winter, hunter's hotpot made with local chicken, deer, and wild boar. The handmade noodle meal comes with juwari soba noodles made with exclusively with buckwheat flour and no fillers. The restaurant serves a brown rice meal made with the same ancient brown rice variety Taira no Koremori is said to have eaten when he assumed the name Komatsu Yasuke and moved to Kamiyukawa in Shimizu Town.

    This restaurant and seafood shop stands on the grounds of Awashima Shrine. Renowned for the exquisite shellfish the staff grills, here you can enjoy turban shell cooked in the shell, grilled purple large asari clams, asari clams steamed in sake, and other shellfish delicacies prepared on the spot. Particularly recommended are the zaru udon noodles served on a draining basket and made with fresh wakame seaweed from Kada Port mixed into the noodle dough. The wakame gives the noodles a lovely green color. The shop also sells zenzai sweet azuki bean soup, amazake (sweet fermented rice drink), and other sweets, making it a great place to stop and take a break after hours of walking in the area. In addition, you can buy a variety of souvenirs here, as well as Kada specialty products like turban shell and other shellfish, plus himono dried fish; wakame udon noodles; and spicy pickled jellyfish and sea urchin, which is so popular, orders for it come in from across the country.

    ＪＲ和歌山駅の隣という感じです。駐車場もあり便利です。個室に案内されましたが、堀こたつ式なので足が楽でした。お昼に「うな丼」2800円をいただきました。皮がパリッと焼けていて、身がふっくらした感じに仕上がっています。タレも甘すぎずてとても美味しくて食べやすいものでした。日本料理店らしい細かな心遣いとおもてなしで、気持ちよく食事を済ますことができました。

This restaurant serves lunch and also sells bento box meals made with an abundance of local vegetables and seafood from Kada, Saikazaki, and Tanoura Fishing Port. In addition to the restaurant's famed daggertooth pike conger tempura and deep-fried cutlass fish with Kobai plum and shiso leaves, highlights from the expansive menu include an assortment of homemade side dishes crafted with seasonal seafood and local vegetables, a healthy lunch special of the day, a variety of bentos, a sashimi assortment, fish hotpot, and hors d'oeuvres. The restaurant is the perfect place to pick up dinner, hold a special event, go out to eat, and all manner of engagements.

    ホームページのコロナ感染対策とはかけ離れた対応でした。 お客さんが離席後の消毒は、テーブルと座席の及びタッチパネルを軽く申し訳程度に拭くだけでした。 特に、当店はけっこう大阪や奈良ナンバーの車が散見される店舗で、これではホームページで公表されてる感染対策とは全くかけ離れた状況で不安を感じました。

    市駅から徒歩3分、いつも賑わっている居酒屋。最近予約でいっぱいなのか、飛び込みでは入れないこともしばしば・・・ 看板料理は鰯で、香りのよいしそ揚げや香梅揚げが食べやすく、造りでも美味しい。いわしコロッケやぎょうざなど、変化球も豊富。鰯以外にも、ホワイトボードにその日の魚がずらりと並んでいるし、地鶏を使ったトリポンなども素晴らしく、へべれけになること請け合い。
