Come enjoy traditional Southern-Ehime Taimeshi, rice with sea bream in this Japanese-style restaurant. In the central (Chuyo) and eastern (Toyo) regions, grilled whole sea breams are cooked with rice, but in the southern (Nanyo) region, around Rinsuke here in Uwajima, it features raw sliced sea bream which is placed on rice along with a special soy-sauce based sauce and egg yolk. Many restaurants will dissolve the egg yolk in a dashi fish broth, but here along with shredded nori and ground sesame seeds, a whole egg yolk is placed on top of the fresh sliced sea beam that completely covers the rice. Another popular menu item that is also served with their special sauce is a boiled barley and rice dish mixed with grated yam.
