    A cafe and bakery facing Lake Kinrin, seen as a symbol of Yufuin. In the terrace seating area, you can enjoy fresh-baked bread while taking in a view of Lake Kinrin's beautiful scenery. The signature croissants, made with natural yeast, have a faint, buttery aroma; crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside, these exquisite delicacies have an irresistible texture. The second floor is a gallery and shop space and is also used to hold a variety of seasonal events.

    This cafe is located in the main building of Yama no Hotel Musouen a seven-minute drive from JR Yufuin Station and the Yufuin Station Bus Center, as well as 15 minutes from the Yufuin Interchange. Here you can enjoy your meal along with a vaunted view of Mt. Yufu as well as the city streets below. The cafe's signature Musouen pudding is particularly popular; laboriously crafted, it is limited to just a few customers each day. The pairing of the slight bitterness of the caramel sauce and the mild flavor of the pudding has been beloved since it was first served in the Showa period and remains a favorite to this day. You can also enjoy panna cotta, toast, homemade ice cream, and juices here.

    名物のプリンは、中高年には懐かしい昔ながらの作り。けっこう大ぶりで、カラメルがしっかり苦みが効いていて美味しいです。 残念ながら、この4月末で喫茶の営業は終了するそうです。山小屋風の内装で雰囲気があり、由布岳や湯布院の街の眺めも良いので勿体無いと思っていたら、旅館のロビーエリアとして場所自体は残るようです。

    6/8(火)、新作のシュワッとイチゴフラペチーノが楽しみで朝イチにドライブスルーで…。フラペチーノと他にもシュガードーナツ、クッキーを買ったので、袋でお願いしますと言ったのに、渡される時はドリンクはそのまま、挙げ句の果てにドーナツを袋に入れて持って来た人がなんと‼️台の上に投げました‼️ビックリしました‼️ シュワッとイチゴフラペチーノはとっても美味しかったのですが…。

    トキハというデパートの1階にあるスターバックスコーヒーです。階段を昇った場所にも座席があり、ゆっくりコーヒーを頂くことができました。勉強で長時間座席を使用している客が多かったですが、それがなければもっと良かったです。

    今や全国で有名な名古屋カフェですね。 大分店も常にお客さんでいっぱいです。 コーヒーよりもデザート押し(名古屋名物ですかね？)な気がします。 コーヒーはオーソドックスなブレンドコーヒー、酸味も苦味も感じないタイプで飲みやすいと思います。
