This Western-style building standing in Fujita Memorial Garden was built as a villa for businessman Ken’ichi Fujita in 1921. The Taisho Roman Tea Room is a café operating out of the building’s spacious sunroom. Some of the café’s most popular menu items are its six varieties of apple pies, all of which are also offered at popular Western confectionaries in Hirosaki City. The café also offers drink sets with its pies and you can take your time to eat, compare, and find your favorite. Take a moment and relax while gazing out at the garden’s trees from the café’s windows.

This is a Western-style hand-made, additive-free cake shop in Aomori City. The second floor is a coffee shop and visitors can sample coffee and sweets including apple pie which is available on the weekends and holidays only.

一階は洋菓子を売っています。2階が食事するところになっています。木のインテリアが懐かしい感じがしました。青森なのでりんごパイと紅茶にしました。スパゲティなど、食事もできます。地元のお客さんが多い印象でした。

The comforting retro atmosphere of this cafe features a counter made from a single thick slab of cypress wood and over 170 Okura Art China-brand coffee bowls and dishes, over half of which are no longer in production. In addition to its specialty coffee, its homemade cakes are also popular, with the cheesecake it has been making since its opening being its most popular item by far. Its seasonal cakes and special cakes made by the owner are excellent as well. It’s about a 15-minute walk from Chuo-Hirosaki Station on the Konan Railway Owani Line.

Nearly overshadowing the taste, the menu book itself is fascinating—done up like a magical picture book, created with the help of a great artist Fumio Yamauchi. The gentle images of cats and their museum-worthy artistic touches will surely ease your mind and soul. Approximately 10 minutes by car via Aomori Chuo Interchange on the Aomori Expressway.

The Akaiyane no Kissaten (red roofed café) Ekisha was designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2014 and is a coffee shop utilizing the old Ashino Park station building of the Tsugaru Railway. In the coffee shop there is a gallery space available for loan and guests are always entertained with the works of various artists. このお店でコーヒーを飲もうと楽しみにしながら立ち寄りましたが、訪れた時が偶々水曜日であった為、定休日でした。その為外観だけを写真に撮って引き返さざるを得ませんでした。機会があれば又とは思いますが・・・・・

A coffee ship with a bright, relaxing atmosphere located close to Hirosaki Park's Kamenokomon gate. The cafe's apple pies and chiffon cakes are particularly popular, and the establishment also offers takeout. The restaurant is also famous for its Bakumatsu Coffee, which lets you taste coffee prepared according to the method used in Japan at the end of the Edo period. The cafe's apple pies are made with fresh Jonathan apples.

A cafe located on the first floor of the Former To-o Gijuku Missionary Residence where you can take a break in a quiet, historic building. Particularly recommended from the cafe's food menu is the France Gozen B meal, a French meal set eaten with chopsticks. Including a meat dish, fish dish, apple sherbet, and coffee or tea, the meal is a feast for the eyes, tongue, and stomach.

旧東奥義塾外人教師館の1階にあり、津軽フリーパス協賛店と書いてあります。ランチを頂きました。フリーパスに書いてあるフレンチを頂くつもりでしたが、ないとのこと。したがってそれのおまけのリンゴジュースもなし。？でした。それでカレーのセットを。リンゴスープは甘く、珍しくはありましたが。カレーにも林檎が入っていて、そちらは甘口で美味でした。ドーナツ状に盛り付けたご飯の中央の野菜が、暖かかったのは嬉しかった...
