ロールケーキが美味しいお店です。今までに10回以上訪れていますが、毎回チョコレートのロールケーキがないです。予約すれば作って貰えるのかと思ってお願いすると、6本からしか予約はできないと言われて・・・お店の人に聞くと、美味しいんですけどねと言うだけで本当に作っているのか疑問です。売ってないもののメニューを載せるのは、やめた方がいいと思います。

- This cafe is located in the main building of Yama no Hotel Musouen a seven-minute drive from JR Yufuin Station and the Yufuin Station Bus Center, as well as 15 minutes from the Yufuin Interchange. Here you can enjoy your meal along with a vaunted view of Mt. Yufu as well as the city streets below. The cafe's signature Musouen pudding is particularly popular; laboriously crafted, it is limited to just a few customers each day. The pairing of the slight bitterness of the caramel sauce and the mild flavor of the pudding has been beloved since it was first served in the Showa period and remains a favorite to this day. 名物のプリンは、中高年には懐かしい昔ながらの作り。けっこう大ぶりで、カラメルがしっかり苦みが効いていて美味しいです。 残念ながら、この4月末で喫茶の営業は終了するそうです。山小屋風の内装で雰囲気があり、由布岳や湯布院の街の眺めも良いので勿体無いと思っていたら、旅館のロビーエリアとして場所自体は残るようです。

ゆふそら…さぞかし、美味しいお蕎麦を食べさせてくれるのだろう…と思い、行ってみました。 しかし、期待は裏切られました。 辛味大根蕎麦を注文しました。 細い麺で白い蕎麦。 あれは、蕎麦ではない。 まず、蕎麦の香りは全くしないし、蕎麦の粒も見当たらない。 食感は、ビーフンです。 麺はべちゃっとして、麺と麺がくっついて、喉ごしも悪い。 景色も感動ものではありません。 二度と行きません。

Oita Areas
A trip to Oita is tantamount to a long soak in the Beppu baths.
