The shop's fresh made buns are deep-fried in light rice bran oil and are bite-sized, plus they can be purchased in quantities as little as one. The shop's refreshing yuzu buns, stuffed with a filling made using the juice of yuzu and kabosu citrus fruits grown in Oita, are also recommended. The shop also sells dorayaki pancake sandwiches and tsukudani soy sauce boiled preserved foods. Age manju buns also keep for a long time, making them great souvenirs.

Here you'll find warm and inviting wooden tableware, cutlery that seems to mold itself to your hand, bento lunch boxes, and much more. The shop's products which are only available here in Yufuin and no place else make great souvenirs.

    This farmers' market is a three-minute walk from JR Yufuin Station. In part because of its location near the station, the market bustles with tourists. The market sells fresh, local vegetables and Yufuin rice as well as prepared foods such as local heritage chicken rice. At the Hidamari Shokudo restaurant inside the market, you can enjoy cuisine made with an abundance of local vegetables and without any chemical seasonings whatsoever. The restaurant makes it easy to enjoy the unique flavors of Oita, such as the Hidamari Teishoku set meal, which comes with Oita's famous dangojiru dumpling soup and toriten chicken tempura; as well as Hayashi rice and gyudon beef bowls made with Yufuin beef.

    This jam shop is located in Yufu City, Oita Prefecture. The shop makes and sells safe, healthy jams with a focus on preserving the natural flavor, color, and aroma of the fruit used, without using any artificial colorings or flavorings whatsoever. The shop's jams, laboriously made one vat at a time, have the delicate sweetness that only comes from making it by hand. The shop carries some dozen or so varieties of jams at any given time, including standard jams and marmalades made with local, seasonal ingredients, as well as compotes and similar products. Customers can sample jams inside and pick their favorites.

The shop's pudding made with local eggs is its signature product and comes in three varieties - rich and flavorful ""ultimate,"" made with an abundance of fresh cream; old-fashioned vanilla; and ""hot spring style,"" a light pudding made with a dash of hot spring water. The shop's Yufudake Chiffon cake is made with an abundance of eggs and is characterized by a light sweetness as well as a soft, moist texture. The shop also operates a cafe where you can enjoy the shop's sweets as well as lunch meals such as pastas and curry rice."

    ロールケーキが美味しいお店です。今までに10回以上訪れていますが、毎回チョコレートのロールケーキがないです。予約すれば作って貰えるのかと思ってお願いすると、6本からしか予約はできないと言われて・・・お店の人に聞くと、美味しいんですけどねと言うだけで本当に作っているのか疑問です。売ってないもののメニューを載せるのは、やめた方がいいと思います。

    A cafe and bakery facing Lake Kinrin, seen as a symbol of Yufuin. In the terrace seating area, you can enjoy fresh-baked bread while taking in a view of Lake Kinrin's beautiful scenery. The signature croissants, made with natural yeast, have a faint, buttery aroma; crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside, these exquisite delicacies have an irresistible texture. The second floor is a gallery and shop space and is also used to hold a variety of seasonal events.

    This is definitely THE place to have coffee in Yufuin. Very nicely decorated with a beautiful ceramic gallery attached and overlooking a lovely pond/lake. Excellent service, and good coffee.. Like...

The facility consists of a factory, shop, and restaurant, and here the company creates smoked sausages and hams with fastidious attention not only to flavor and aroma but also color and texture. In addition to the above, the company's shop also sells wieners made with deer meat. In the on-site restaurant, you can enjoy pastas and pot-au-feu, made with the company's fresh made smoked meats, while taking in a view of Mt. Yufu. The shop's homemade breads are also so popular, they are even served at hotels.

    3年ぶりに由布院に訪れましたが、いつもランチに行くのは燻家さんです。ランチメニューも色々食べましたが、やはり「ハム屋さんのあったかポトフ」が一番です。たっぷりの野菜とソーセージと大きなベーコン、チーズも付いていて、値段も超リーズナブルで、大満足のメニューです。由布岳の大絶景を見ながらのランチは最高ですよ。由布院に旅行した時には絶対に外せないお店です。薫家さんのポトフ、最高です！！

    This longstanding Japanese confectionary shop, opened in 1891, is a one- to two-minute walk from JR Yufuin Station. Aiming to create renowned, uniquely Yufuin-inspired confections, the shop continues to make its yokan and nagashi yokan jellies according to the exact same methods as when it first opened its doors. The shop offers three yokan varieties - azuki, ogura, and yuzu. A veritable confectionary masterpiece, its yokan has even been awarded in the National Confectionary Exposition. The shop also takes pride in its Shittori An Potato, a sweet potato-based Japanese confection stuffed with sweet bean paste. The shop's sakura manju buns are only available for a limited time in spring.

    This farmers' market is situated along National Route 201 running parallel to the Oita River a five-minute drive from the Yufuin Interchange. The market sells locally grown fruits and vegetables as well as food products and Japanese deli-style foods. Here you can buy a variety of foods such as tsukudani soy sauce boiled preserved foods, maki zushi, and local heritage chicken onigiri rice balls made by the hands of local homemakers in the adjoining Tsuyukusa-kai. The market's signature product is its blueberry jam, created by stewing blueberries only with added sugar. There's also a public bathhouse on the grounds where you can soak in the waters of a lovely natural hot spring at a low price. Replete with parking, the market is also conveniently accessible by car.

    This bakery is situated along Prefectural Route 617 north of the Yufuin Tsukahara Highlands Tourism Association and a five-minute drive from the Yufudake Smart Interchange as well as 10 minutes from Yufuin Station. The bakery offers safe, healthy, high quality breads at reasonable prices. Particularly notable for its use of homemade natural yeasts, fresh butter, and fresh-pressed oils, the bakery takes particular pride in its dressed onion tuna bread and chicken and burdock bread. The shop's Tsukahara no Yume Shokupan, a Japanese-style shokupan bread made with home grown wheat flour, is only sold in small quantities on Sundays.

Many of the store's products are available no place else, including local yuzukosho, handmade arare roasted mochi snacks, and original picture postcards. In addition, the store is one of only a very few places in the prefecture where you can buy dried foods such as shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and royal fern by weight. The store's wide selection also includes koshin shiitake mushrooms, dark sleeper, and cloud ear mushrooms. The store also provides a shipping service for in-store customers.

    歴史資料館、鬼門櫓とまわってからこちらに来ましたが、ここがメインの観光案内所でした。歴史史料館の前に車を置いて来ましたが、こちらに広い駐車場がありました。小規模ながら物産販売があり、カフェ、自転車レンタルなどがありました。町内中心部についてはここに最初に来るのがよいと思いました。

    因為本身愛酒，來到九州怎麼能錯過當地的酒莊? 這次來到由布院附近的這家酒莊，位於南由布車站走路約10~15分鐘路程，裡面試飲了不少酒款，包括Semillon, Syrah等澳洲葡萄釀造的酒款，基本上澳洲葡萄釀的中規中矩，當地生產的Muscat Bailey A相比起甲州的酒莊則不夠有深度

    国道１０号と２１２号が交差する東南に位置しています。旧三光村のイオン。耶馬渓行く前のツイデ寄りや梨酒など地酒、バラマキ用お土産漁りに適しています。中津といえばからあげ。から揚げ弁当を求めて食品コーナーに足を運びましたが、特段、から揚げが充実している訳ではありませんので悪しからず。結局、幕の内弁当にしました。

A trip to Oita is tantamount to a long soak in the Beppu baths.
