    This vast wasabi farm in Azumino spans a space equal to 11 Tokyo Domes. Entry is free and the farm is open every day year-round. In addition to wasabi fields and a processing plant, visitors can enjoy the tranquil waterside scenery, including a water mill used in a Kurosawa’s film. The farm’s shop sells unique products found nowhere else such as wasabi soft serve ice cream and wasabi-don rice bowls. If traveling by train, a 10-minute taxi ride from Hotaka Station on the JR Oito Line.

    A station on the Kanden Tunnel Trolleybus line run by Kansai Electric Power Company, it serves as the entrance to the Nagano Prefecture-side of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Inside the three-story station building, there is a ticket office on the first floor, a restaurant on the second, and the platform and observation deck on the third. In 2019, it will cease being a station with the pending elimination of the trolleybus.

    A park located in Tokiwa, Omachi City. Here you can enjoy the great outdoors. The park is divided into several zones, such as a central zone, conservation zone, forest recreation zone, mountain stream zone, and nature activity zone.     A tourist farm which grows blueberries. The farm grows 800 blueberry plants on land as well as 2,000 in pots without the use of agricultural chemicals. The farm offers time unlimited blueberry picking and customers can also gather their harvested blueberries in a provided bag to take home. Blueberry picking is offered from mid-June to mid-October. Note that the exact date the farm opens may vary depending on weather. Visitors can also purchase potter blueberry seedlings here.

    A popular activity in Azumino where you can meander down the Tadegawa River in a boat. The river flows with beautiful spring water and has been selected as one of the most famous rivers in Japan. The aquatic plants quiver in the clear water and fish can be seen swimming below. One of the highlights of the boat trip is the watermills which were the stage for a famous movie. You can enjoy the beauty of nature while paddling away with the other members in the boat. The boat trip lasts for approximately 20 minutes. Reservations for the trip can be made at the green tent at Daio Wasabi Farm, Hotaka in Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture.

    水が綺麗で有名な安曇野ですがその中でも透明度が高く水草が美しい犀川をゴムボートでのんびりと下れます。ラフティングといっても決して激しくありませんので小さな子供連れでもきっと楽しめると思います。安曇野には観光スポットが沢山ありますが少し変わったアクティビティとして特に家族連れにお勧めします。

    An activity studio adjoining Vif Hotaka, a store which sells Hotaka agricultural products and other goods. Here you can learn how to make Nagano's famous oyaki buns, and soba noodles from a renowned Nagano soba noodle chef. A soba noodle restaurant operating out of an old Japanese home is located next to the studio which serve soba noodles made with buckwheat flour from Ariake. The restaurant offers two types of soba - kake soba hot noodles in broth, and cold zaru soba noodles. Both the activity studio and the soba noodle restaurant are reservation-only, and reservations must be made no later than two days in advance.

    A fruit farm which offers reservation-only fruit picking. Depending on the season, visitors can pick strawberries, blueberries, and apples. Apple picking is offered from around mid- or late January to late June, blueberries from July to August, and apples from early to mid-November (note that the only variety of apples available is Sun Fuji).

    夏いちごというのがあると聞き、松本から白馬に抜ける際に、こちらに立ち寄り。確かにありました。いちごが!しかも夕方だったので、値下げして売られてました。迷わず購入。ちょっとすっぱみがあって夏に最適です。

    A farm situated at the foot of Mt. Shirouma where you can enjoy pesticide-free blueberry picking amidst the cool air 730 meters above sea level and while taking in the beautiful scenery of Hakuba. The farm was one of the first places in Japan to begin growing blueberries on its vast, 10,000 square meter site, having now cultivated the tasty berries for close to 30 years. There's also a shop operated directly by the farm where you can purchase its blueberries to take home and give as a souvenir or gift.

In addition to strolling along the walking path and lawn plaza on the farm and events on the outdoor stage, you can also purchase products with lavender and herbs at the shop.

    A ceramics class studio located in Hotaka, Azumino City. The studio was opened in 1983 to promote ceramic arts in the area.
