    This is the corporate museum of the Toyota Group, which transitioned into the automobile industry from the textile machinery industry and has now become a global automobile manufacturer. The museum uses the brick building that was the former Sako Plant of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works. The exhibits inside the museum are divided into the Textile Machinery Pavilion and the Automobile Pavilion, and in the Textile Machinery Pavilion visitors can learn about textile machinery and the evolution of technology. The Automobile Pavilion introduces the mechanism of automobiles and the exercise of developmental technology and production technology.     This is a facility located in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. The memorial was constructed in an effort to remember and mourn the atomic bomb victims at the time of the dropping of the bomb on August 6, 1945, as well as those who died afterwards, and to pray for eternal peace. The Hall of Remembrance presents a panoramic view of the A-bombed city, a place to quietly mourn A-bomb victims and reflect on peace, an information exhibition section for planned exhibitions, and a hands-on reading room. The nearest stops on the Hiroshima Electric Railway tram are “Genbaku Dome Mae” (Atomic Bomb Dome) stop and “Hondori” stop.

    A museum dedicated to the Gekkeikan sake company located in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City. A remodeled sake brewery standing on the birthplace of Gekkeikan on the edge of the Hori River, the museum presents information on sake brewing in Fushimi and the history of the Gekkeikan company. Sake brewing implements designated Tangible Folk Cultural Properties by the city of Kyoto are on permanent display and visitors can also learn how sake is made. In addition, traditional sake brewing songs are played in the museum, recreating the atmosphere of a real sake brewery. In the sake tasting room, popular with tourists, visitors can sample Gekkeikan Retro-Bottle Ginjyoshu and Tama no Izumi Daiginjyo as well as Plum Wine. The museum presents the work of Sakaiminato-born manga artist Shigeru Mizuki as well as the world of “yokai,” the Japanese folk monsters frequently featured in the artist’s works, and his characters. In addition to amusing models and images of yokai monsters as well as original pictures and explanatory materials, the museum also exhibits the yokai collection and travel notes of Mizuki, a man who loved to go on adventures. There’s a library where you are free to read manga comic books, and here you can find works that are now difficult to obtain on the open market.

Standing along National Route 49 near Lake Inawashiro, the museum was remodeled and reopened in 2015. Noguchi’s childhood home is preserved inside the museum complex, including the sunken hearth where he was burned when a baby.     The Kameyama Shachu was a society set up by Sakamoto Ryoma and friends with the help of the wealthy Kozone merchant family in 1865. In addition to being involved in the marine transport industry, the society took part in the planning of the Satsuma-Choshu Alliance and numerous other key events from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji Restoration. This memorial museum is housed inside a renovated and restored building of the society’s, and singer and actor Tetsuya Takeda serves as honorary director. The museum displays a replica of the boots Ryoma wore, copies of his letters, and other ephemera, making it a must-see for fans of this great historic figure.

    This museum was constructed in 1987 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of Marukin Shoyu. The gassho-zukuri (a traditional style of Japanese architecture with a steep thatched roof) building has been designated as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property. Inside the museum are panels that introduce the soy sauce manufacturing process and displays of tools that were actually used in the production of soy sauce since the company was founded. Visitors can try soy sauce soft cream in the adjacent production building and this unique flavor can only be had here. Tours of the press factory that is currently still in use are also possible.

    The Anpanman Museum at Takashi Yanase Memorial Museum was established in 1996 with the intention of collecting, studying and displaying the diverse and creative works of Takashi Yanase, the creator of Anpanman. There are plenty of things to see and do such as the Takashi Yanase Gallery and Anpanman Theater with original drawings from his picture books and animations, as well as The Repository with all sorts of character goods on display. Both adults and children can enjoy the museum to their heart’s content. The three meter high Fighting Anpanman Statue is also a great place for photos.

This museum opened in 1934 is housed in the Japanese architectural structure adjoining the former residence of Yakumo Koizumi. It was renovated in 2016.     This museum opened in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture 60 years after the sinking for the Tsushima-maru in order to convey to children about the important of peace and life and to put the souls of the victims to rest, and to properly portray the event for future generations.
