Michi no Eki Kyoda also has a comprehensive range of other facilities, including a highway information counter, rest lounge, and nap room.

    This rest area is located within Shodoshima Olive Park in Shodoshima Town, Shodoshima County, Kagawa Prefecture. About 2,000 olive trees and over 130 types of herbs are cultivated here, and the park offers an expansive view of the Seto Inland Sea. The pure white “Greek windmill” and other features give the area a distinctly Mediterranean feel. The site includes a cafe with a wonderful view, as well as the “Olive Museum,” which has a shop that offers various olive-themed goods. There’s also an herb garden and the rocket used in the live-action adaptation of “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” along with a natural hot spring, a craft workshop facility, a lodging facility, and more.     This is a roadside station in Miyazaki City. Located near the Horikiri Pass on the Nichinan Coast it is a great spot to take a break while on a drive. The observation deck overlooks the wave-like rocks known as the demon's laundry rocks and the ocean. Soft serve ice cream made from Miyazaki mango, hyuganatsu citrus, ashitaba (Angelica keiskei) and other special produce are popular, and special local products are also available at the onsite store.

    Roadside Station Doshi provides all sorts of information including tourist information on Doshi Village, events and special products. In the restaurant you can enjoy some original dishes made with ingredients freshly harvested from the village. They also have a dessert menu with dishes made with watercress, a special product of Doshi. The shop sells Doshi pork related products, vegetables and edible wild plants from local farmers, river fish, and shichiri miso, etc. They also have a range of vases and woodwork products on sale too.     The Roadside Station Ryuhyo Kaido Abashiri, situated on the Abashiri Port Line Road and located at the mouth of Abashiri River, is a good spot for sightseeing with views over the Sea of Okhotsk and Shiretoko. Here you can get tourist information and buy local farm produce and processed goods. The drift ice sightseeing & icebreaker ship Aurora, which runs from the latter half of January through to the end of March every year, departs from a dock on the Abashiri River in front of the Road Station. It’s worth checking their departure times before you travel.

    This roadside station is located just off the Joshin-etsu Expressway Fujioka Interchange and can be accessed from the Expressway or from the public road. In addition to the fresh specialty vegetables such as tomatoes and strawberries and processed foods sold by the agricultural direct sales outlet, visitors can also enjoy the soft cream which is made with free range Jersey milk from the Kozu Ranch, which is known as the oldest western-style ranch in Japan.     Directly in front of Shiretoko Rausu Rest Area is Nemuro Strait, and behind is Mt. Rausu, one of Japan’s top 100 mountains. The rest area is the closest rest area to Kunashiri Island of the Northern Territories and is so close you can see the island’s trees on a clear day. The rest house is located at the entrance to the Shiretoko-Odan Road on the Rausu side, on Route 335. It’s close to one of the best whale and bird watching points in Japan and from here you can check departure and latest information on the bulletin boards at the tourist information office.
