    This roadside station in Hiyoshicho, Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture lies directly below Hiyoshi Dam and is one of Nantan City’s greatest tourist spots. Inside there are vendors selling fresh local vegetables direct and a corner for specialty goods, as well as a restaurant offering Dam Curry and a traditional Chinese medicine-style black soybean milk ramen. The building across from the connecting bridge is the “Hiyoshi Onsen” day trip hot spring with facilities including a heated pool. There are also plenty of outdoor facilities including a barbecue garden and ground golf.

    This roadside station, on the Tango Peninsula sells souvenirs and serves local Tango dishes. The auto campsite in the rear makes it a very popular roadside station. The campsite, mostly used during long weekends and the summer, offers power-equipped sites, and pet accompanied sites. The most popular gift souvenirs are the mulberry tea made with organic leaves, the Kotobiki salt, and the local specialty the Tango barasushi, a pack the premixed rice for two.

The makizushi with ample seasoning is rolled with regional produce and tradition by local people. Their shinkoetsu mochi made with high-grade Kyoto' Sonobe-grown mochi rice (called Shin Habutae uruchi) is also super popular.

    地元の特産品も直産品もほとんどなく、気になったのはブルーベリーサイダーぐらい。中にカフェがあったけど大したメニューも無く、結局お茶だけ買って出ました。京都縦貫道園部IC降りたところにあるので、場所はすごく良いだけにとても残念でした。
