- Roadside Station Skydome Kamioka is about 60 minutes from the center of the city of Takayama via National Routes 41 and 42. The retail shop was remodeled in 2018, and it began selling new lines of merchandise, including some from the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research, University of Tokyo. There is also a wide selection of souvenirs from the Hida region available from spring to autumn, including folk crafts and fresh local vegetables, all of which will delight family members and co-workers. The restaurant serves Tempura Manju (deep-fried buns), a dish for which Hida Kamioka is famous, Hida Chuka Soba and other noodle dishes, and the popular Hida Miso Cutlet set meal.

- Roadside Station Meiho is located 19 minutes from the Gujo-Hachiman Interchange along the Hida-Mino Seseragi Highway. It is adjacent to Surusumi no Sato Park, so that visitors can enjoy beautiful views of mountain scenery in all four seasons, including cherry blossoms and peach blossoms in the spring, fresh greenery and the Yoshidagawa River in the summer, and brilliantly colored leaves in the fall. Inside the park are a local products center as well as several kinds of eating and drinking establishments. Special local products from throughout the prefecture are available to purchase as souvenirs, including Meiho ham and tomato ketchup. There is no charge for admission to the Surusumi-an, a building that serves as a rest area and contains a hearth fire that has burned continuously for 800 years, and visitors can enjoy brook trout or freshwater salmon grilled over that fire as they view the scenery of Surusumi no Sato Park.

郡上八幡から車で20分ほど走ったところにあります。道の駅では明宝ハムの工場があってハムの直売もやっています。半分サイズの明宝ハムを10本も買っているお客さんにはビックリ!トイレ休憩だけでなく、飛騨や郡上のお土産もいろいろあってショッピングするのもオススメです。

- To reach Roadside Station Kokindenju no Sato Yamato, travelers should take National Route 156 and Prefectural Route 317 about three kilometers from the Gifu Yamato Interchange on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway. This roadside station combines many kinds of facilities in one place, including a free footbath, a morning farmers’ market, and a restaurant that serves local cuisine, and an ice cream and yogurt specialty shop. Customers can enjoy local dishes at reasonable prices, such as Salt-Broiled Sweetfish and Wild Yams, and on the 20th of each month, Kei-chan, or local chicken cooked in a traditional style, is served. All the buildings, including the retail stores that sell local products and the restaurants that serve local cuisine, are named after a collection of ancient and modern Japanese poetry, Kokinshu, and there is even a hot spring bathing facility built in a Neo-Japanese architectural style.

We visited the foot onsen and restaurants here twice. The restaurant in the back has delicious drinks and a wood stove.

The onsen prides itself on the slippery texture of the water from the natural hot springs. It is recommended that visitors come here to refresh themselves after hiking around Mt. Ontake or Mt. It is located in the Fujihashi District, which is one of Japan’s many famous spots for star gazing, and in the evening, visitors can see the expanse of a star-filled sky. There are two restaurants on the premises: Hoshi no Furusato Restaurant, where the recommended menu item is Shiitake Mushroom Croquettes, and Sobadokoro Fujihashi-an, where the specialty is Tenzaru Soba, cold noodles, made with 20% wheat and 80% buckwheat flour, and tempura with dipping sauce, along with other menu items that make use of famous local ingredients. Another attraction is the Ibigawa River Hot Spring, Fujihashi no Yu, which includes Fujihashi outdoor hot spring bath, whose waters are said to have all kinds of benefits.

この辺りはツーリングに訪れるライダーがとても多いようで、道の駅はライダーで溢れ返っていました。この道の駅の駐車場はとても広くバイク用の駐車エリアもありますが、自動車用のエリアもバイクでいっぱいでした。道の駅には、特産物販売所やレストランの他に、有料施設で徳山民俗資料収蔵庫と温泉がありました。日中に訪れたので、星のふる里を体験できなかったので、夜に訪れてみたいものです。

- To reach Roadside Station Soba no Sato Rassei Misato, motorists should take Prefectural Route 66 southwest from the Ena Interchange for 10 minutes, where they will find the roadside station at the intersection with National Route 418, with a view of massive mountains. There is a shop that directly sells locally grown vegetables and fruits that have been picked the same morning after being carefully raised by the growers, who are proud of the freshness and rich flavors of their products. The souvenir sales area offers popular Oni Manju, Gohei Mochi and other foods typical of the region. The restaurant Rasseian serves dishes such as Tenzaru Soba (cold noodles with dipping sauce and a side of tempura), Kamo (duck) Soba set meal, and wide variety of other soba dishes. 少し遅い時間に行くとご飯は売り切れという事がしばしばあります。そのため蕎麦定食は食べることが出来ず、価格的にも少し高い天ぷらと蕎麦のセットになってしまうのが痛いです。

They can also practice making such local sweets as Gorin Manju and Kuri Kinton (a dish made with chestnuts and yams) in a lively and playful atmosphere.

下呂温泉から中山道の馬籠宿へと向かっている途中、中津川市のJR坂下駅近くの国道沿いにあった道の駅に立ち寄りました。 車もたくさん停まっていて、多くの人たちが訪れていたので、人気の道の駅なんですね。館内をぐるっと回ってみると、お蕎麦の品ぞろえが豊富でした。この辺りは蕎麦の産地なんですね。蕎麦の産地らしく、こちらの道の駅では「蕎麦打ち体験」ができるんです。

It is situated in a lush natural setting in the clear upper reaches of the Nagaragawa River. All types of information about Gujo is available. Syunsai Ichiba, a market where local farmers sell the agricultural products they have harvested and freshly picked wild plants, is held every morning. Visitors who reserve two days in advance can enjoy the Gottso Box Lunch, made from local ingredients and ideal for taking along on one’s travels. In addition to souvenirs from nearby communities, molokhiya-flavored soft ice cream and the chicken dish Abarenbo Kei-chan are available.

In the winter, it serves as the entryway to the Meiho Ski Area, and in the summer, its attractions include fishing and water sports in the Mazegawa River, which flows through the property.

It serves as a base for exploring the Tsukechi Gorge and offers a wide variety of facilities. The shop, where agricultural products produced by local farmers and local souvenirs are sold, is built with pillars made of natural hinoki cypress about 300 years old, and it has a high-ceilinged atrium. Everything around is built with cypress wood, making for comfortable, soothing spaces imbued with the scent of cypress. There is a food cart village composed of six food carts, the Rakuichi-Rakuza building which contains clothing and flower shops, and other special products that indicate how much effort this roadside station is putting into PR. The foot bath, fed by water brought daily from the Tsukechi-kyo Kuraya Onsen, is available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
