    A roadside station opened in April 2017 along National Route 4 in Hiraizumi Town. The facility’s nickname is the “Ogon Hanasaku Risokyo” (Ideal Land of Golden Blooming Flowers). The facility’s black building accented with gold blends in well with the surrounding scenery of Hiraizumi. Inside the building’s spacious confines adorned with warm wood, the facility is divided into an informational area, farm fresh shop, and restaurant section. The farm fresh shop offers fresh Hiraizumi agricultural products, popular doburoku unrefined sake, and other local goods. The restaurant offers dishes made with local fresh vegetables and Iwate minami-gyu beef; on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the restaurant also offers an all-you-can-eat buffet.

In addition to a wide array of local foods and crafts being sold here, the facility also aims to introduce the diverse array of mochi rice cake dishes which make up a significant part of local Ichinoseki cuisine. A mochi cuisine restaurant serving select mochi dishes can be found here, giving you the chance to enjoy Ichinoseki mochi until you’re full to bursting. The Noson Park area sprawls outside the station, serving as an event space and location for community interaction.

    秋田県から岩手県へ、大きな山脈を越え降りたふもとにある道の駅。トイレ休憩を兼ねて訪問しました。 施設はかなり広いですが駐車スペースは少し少ない印象でした。 トイレやレストラン、売店も点在しており少し使いづらいかなと思いました。

    物産かんと交流センターとに分かれており、交流センターの端には巨大な山車が展示されています。祭りで使われることを見ることはあっても、細部まで細かく見るような機会はあまりないのでじっくり見てみると新たな発見があるかもしれません。交流センターの他エリアでは地元の方と思われる方々がフリーマーケットの準備をしており、観光客をはじめとして多くの人で賑わっていました。

    この道の駅の脇に、釜石線が通っており、夜になるとライトアップされて幻想的な風景 が堪能出来ます。 特にSL銀河が通る際は、写真も映えます。 個人的には、夜のライトアップされたなか、列車が通過する風景をSL銀河で運行してほしいです。

    道の駅と言うことでその土地ならではの食材が手に入ることを期待して伺いましたが野菜は1つも置いておらず。 お土産の品が置いてあるだけでした。 近くの川の景色も綺麗でもったいない感じがします。道の駅ならばその土地でとれる野菜や食べ物が少しでもおいてあると嬉しく感じるものです。

    新しくて明るくて使いやすい。感じのいい道の駅です。売っているものが豊富で誘惑が多いです。外になぜか木の彫刻が置いてあったので、不思議に思ったのですが、隣に同じ名前の美術館がありました。

In the restaurant Beef Village Kuzakai that features a yellow and white appearance, you can get a taste of dishes including Miso Katsudon (pork cutlet rice bowl with thick miso bean sauce) and homemade soba buckwheat noodles. The facility is used not only by tourists but many local residents.

    お店の人になぜビーフビレッジなのかきくと昔短角牛の郷だったらしく今はほとんど飼ってないらしいがそのまま残っているらしい。そのためレストランメニューも何品か牛肉料理が残してあるとのこと。盛岡から宮古に抜ける道の最初の道の駅。この周辺には店らしきものはないので休憩場所として利用価値あり。
