Roadside Station Mitakaibunko道の駅三田貝分校

Michi no Eki Road Station

This roadside station is located in the town of Iwaizumi in Shimohei County, Iwate Prefecture. It uses the site of the Mitakai branch school of Iwaizumi Town Kado Elementary School, and is characterized by being built with the remains of the school. In addition to snacks such as grilled rice balls and croquettes, there is a co-op that sells local farm products and processed goods and a school lunchroom where you can eat, making it a place where you can get a sense of nostalgia.

盛岡駅からのバス途上で休憩で止まりました。廃校を利用しているようで、食堂は給食仕様?可愛らしくて良いと思います。施設もキレイです。

廃校を再利用して道の駅にした様です。山の中に小さな校舎が有り、少し上に目線をずらすと体育館が見えます。校舎の中が売店になっていて、お土産や名物等々売っています。添乗員曰く湧水が有名で名水100選にもなっているとかで、まだ旅の始まりなのでここはガマン、牛乳だけ買って立ち去りです。買った牛乳は味が濃くてとても美味しかったです。

お盆休みだったので、混雑していました。駐車場もガードマンの方が2人で誘導されていました。お土産に南部せんべいの袋入りがあったので、自宅用に購入。とっても懐かしい醤油ラーメンを食べました。
