Michi no Eki Road Station

This roadside station is located in Mizusawa Ward of Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture. An enviable spot where you can view the Kitakami River and Kitakami Plateau, it is a place to take a break and become refreshed amid nature. You can enjoy koji nanban and sesame ice cream at eateries, and even walking along river banks and barbecuing if you go down to the embankment of the Kitakami River.

道の駅と言うことでその土地ならではの食材が手に入ることを期待して伺いましたが野菜は1つも置いておらず。
お土産の品が置いてあるだけでした。
近くの川の景色も綺麗でもったいない感じがします。道の駅ならばその土地でとれる野菜や食べ物が少しでもおいてあると嬉しく感じるものです。

小さすぎる道の駅。かつお盆だったのもあって、目当ての地元産の野菜などがほとんどなかったです。隣の川の景色は入りたくなるほどきれいでした。

規模が小さく、たまたまかもしれませんが、あまり商品がありません。新鮮な野菜や果物が沢山並んでいることを期待しましたが少しがっかりしました。
