This roadside station is located along National Route 106. They offer various specialty products such as perilla and black beans. In the restaurant Beef Village Kuzakai that features a yellow and white appearance, you can get a taste of dishes including Miso Katsudon (pork cutlet rice bowl with thick miso bean sauce) and homemade soba buckwheat noodles. The facility is used not only by tourists but many local residents.

お店の人になぜビーフビレッジなのかきくと昔短角牛の郷だったらしく今はほとんど飼ってないらしいがそのまま残っているらしい。そのためレストランメニューも何品か牛肉料理が残してあるとのこと。盛岡から宮古に抜ける道の最初の道の駅。この周辺には店らしきものはないので休憩場所として利用価値あり。

わざわざソフトが食べたくて行ったことがあるくらいの、こちらの道の駅。ソフトが美味しいです！産直の野菜があったり、お土産品もあったり、便利です。

区界までの道のりで、牛の放牧がおこなわれているので、「ビーフビレッジ」というネーミングは説得力がある。レストランメニューは牛肉中心で、テーマに即したブレのない品揃え。値段は、やや高め。同じ敷地内の道の駅では岩手特産物のおみやげやがあり、旅行のみやげ購入も行える。
