- Susami Roadside Station is located along National Route 42, about a 15-minute drive from the Susami Interchange or a five-minute walk from JR Esumi Station. A special attraction is the Susami Municipal Aquarium of Crab and Shrimp right next door. Just a five-minute drive farther along the road is Esuzaki Point, a National Natural Monument, one of the many nearby scattered scenic sightseeing attractions that make this area so wonderful. The restaurant's flagship dishes include Deep-Fried Local Lobster on Rice Dinner and Saury Sushi, and it also sells a unique Lettuce Dipping Sauce. Another shop on the premises sells freshly caught local fish.

物販コーナーやレストランは綺麗で広々しており、鮮魚の販売もありました。また、エビとカニの水族館のほか、日帰り入浴施設や宿泊施設も隣接しているので色々な楽しみ方が出来そうです。海に面しているので景色が良いです。

川治ダムから湯西川ダムへ向かう途中にあった道の駅。 目の前には湯西川、そして会津鬼怒川線の線路・橋が見えました。 営業時間前でしたが、ここは足湯・天然温泉に入れる素敵な道の駅でした。 お食事の「もみじカレー」なる鹿肉のカレーが気になりましたね。 これらが目的なら9時以降に来ないと駄目のようです。

There's an adjoining facility offering hot spring-steamed and barbecued food. Their Yamako shop sells whole grilled octopus served as-is that's been featured in the media countless times. Down by the sea, the Nakahama Minoru's Cat Art Museum features the leading artist's feline ink paintings. It is the world's first museum dedicated to cat art, and they hold ink painting classes once a month. Specialty products are available for purchase at their Higashiura Bussankan shop.

淡路島北部にある道の駅で、GW中に利用しましたが大変な賑わいでした。名産の玉ねぎは周囲よりもお得な価格で大量に販売されていましたし、こちらも名産なのか落花生他豆類も豊富に売られていました。出会えればラッキーと言われる有名なタコの姿焼きは昨今の不漁で残念ながらありませんでした。

The largest roadside station in the Tohoku region, Cherryland Sagae is centered around a souvenir store that sells a wide range of Yamagata specialties, such as famous sweets, agricultural produce, local sake and handicrafts. There is also a restaurant and a food court that serve food made using Yamagata beef and Shonai pork. 日本映画の名作鉄道員（ぽっぽや）のロケ地見学に南富良野の幾寅駅へ行ったあと、役場近くの道の駅の物産センターへ行きました。暑い日だったので、生クリーム仕立ての濃厚ソフトクリームが食べたくて、夕張メロンシロップのカップを食べました。美味しいのはまちかいないのですが、もっと濃厚なソフトクリームが食べられる他の道の駅がありました。
