A roadside station situated along National Route 210 in Kawakita, Yufuin-cho, Yufu City. Facilities include a shop selling local agricultural and specialty products like yuzu citrus pepper, a condiment said to have been invented in Oita; and a takeout corner which sells soft serve ice cream, toriten chicken tempura, and Yufu Koro croquettes which were developed in conjunction with Yufu High School. The station’s restaurant serves rice bowls topped with Japanese beef and soba noodles made with Yufuin buckwheat and hot spring water.

湯布院の街のメインストリートである湯の坪街道や金鱗湖の周辺の観光を終えた私たちは、やまなみハイウェイを通って、この日のお宿がある黒川温泉へと向かい始めました。やまなみハイウェイに向かう途中に湯布院ＩＣがありますが、そのすぐ近くにこちらの道の駅がありました。ＩＣのすぐ近くで、国道沿い、そしてやまなみハイウェイの入り口でもある場所にあるので、出入りする車が多く、駐車場もかなり埋まっていました...

湯布院のお宿をチェックアウトした私たちは、湯布院の街をぶらぶら散策しました。その後は、山並みハイウェイを通って、この日の宿泊先がある黒川温泉へと向かいます。湯布院の街を出てまもなく、湯布院ＩＣのすぐ近くにあったこちらの道の駅に立ち寄りました。駐車場はなかなか混んでいて、館内も多くの人たちで賑わっていました。ＩＣが近いのでトイレ休憩などの利用が多いのかもしれません。もちろん特産品などのコーナー...
