    The Miyazawa Kenji Memorial Museum is located in the city of Hanamaki in Iwate Prefecture. It contains video images, as well as materials related to the poet and author of children's stories, Miyazawa Kenji, organized into exhibits in five fields. There are presentations about the creative process that led to Miyazawa's works, commentaries, and the results of research about him. Special events are held inside the museum, including limited-time exhibits of the manuscripts of his children's stories.

    A memorial museum located a five-minute taxi ride from Morioka Station. The museum is dedicated to Hara Takashi, Japan's first commoner prime minister, and the museum adjoins Hara's birth home. The museum contains rare items connected to Japanese politics and also displays things which belonged to Hara like the clothes he was wearing when he was assassinated as well as the famous Hara Diary. His birth home was built in 1850; Hara lived here until the age of 15. Designated a Cultural Property and Preservation building by the city, the home is made open to the general public for limited periods each year.

    平民宰相として民衆の支持を集めた、原敬の記念館です。遭難時の服や遺品等も展示されていて、想像以上に本格的なものでした。

    A memorial museum located a 10-minute taxi ride from Morioka Station. Here visitors can learn about the achievements of people connected to Morioka from the Meiji period onward. The museum was established in 1987 to commemorate the city's 100th anniversary. Exhibits include Inazo Nitobe's beloved furnishings; a sugoroku board game said to have been made by Nitobe's own hands; and a 5,000 yen bill featuring a portrait of the author, the printing of which ended in 2007. The museum presents 130 people, including memorial rooms dedicated to Mitsumasa Yonai and Kyosuke Kindaichi.

    地域の偉人に関しての博物館です。金田一京助、米内光政、新渡戸稲造に関しては、一階に各々に特化した部屋があります。2階はたくさんの偉人が紹介されていて、郷土愛を感じる施設でした。

    旧・奥州街道をランニングで旅した際に立ち寄りました。石川啄木が学び、その後教鞭もとった小学校の旧校舎が保存されています。

In the exhibition room, you can enjoy Kodo's favorite items and materials related to the Nomura Gakugei Foundation, as well as Kodo's works that have been visualized with the latest video and audio equipment. Kodo is also known as the classical music critic Araebisu, and it also holds live concerts and concerts of his SP record collections.

    Iwate Prefecture's first general hospital applying Western medicine was founded in 1874. It's on the Hitokabe River in Minami-machi, Esashi Ward. The multi-storied building has distinctive pseudo-Western-style architectural features constructed by local carpenters. It had the functionality and appearance of a Western hospital geared to a new era, backed by traditional Japanese-style building methods. It was chosen as the setting of the radio drama Kanenonaru Oka. Since its closing in 1878, it's acted as a variety of public facilities including a court, a government office, and a school. It became the Meiji Kinenkan in 1982 and the city's symbol.

    A 15-minute walk from Mizusawa Station on the JR Tohoku Main Line, this memorial museum is built on the site of Saito Makoto's former residence. He was a politician and proponent of civilian government who was promoted to the naval rank of admiral and later Minister of the Navy. After serving as Prime Minister, he held the position of Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal until his assassination in the February 26 Incident. Besides the main hall, there's also a library and his former residence, as well as a seated statue of him and his wife. The main hall has exhibits presenting the couple's background and displaying the uniforms they wore for their official duties. There's also a display with items concerning the February 26 Incident. The displays are switched in spring and winter when they hold special exhibits.

    "10 minutes on foot from Mizusawa Station on the Tohoku Main Line, this memorial hall established in 1971 honors the achievements of Takano Choei, a leading person who hailed from the region. As a doctor practicing Western medicine, he authored many of Japan's first books on physiology. The museum displays about 200 of his books, translations, letters, and personal items. A May 5 Birthday Festival and October 30 Takano Choei Festival are held free of charge. A small special exhibit called ""Takano Choei Translations"" features stories about the Dutch language."

    君の名はで有名な劇作家の記念館です。戦時中疎開していたそうです。建物は石蔵ですが、特別tな関係はないそうです。蔵は2つあり、隣は奥州市の祭の展示がしてありました。
