The restaurant’s courses are particularly popular, giving diners the chance to enjoy seasonal dishes and a main course of pork shabu-shabu made with SPF (specific-pathogen-free) pork. Other seasonal Yamagata cuisine on offer includes imoni taro and meat stew, a local Yamagata specialty, and Yonezawa beef.

    This izakaya Japanese-style pub is near to Yamagata Station and focuses on Yamagata products. They offer a variety of Yamagata home-style cooking using fresh Shonai seafood and vegetables, and Yonezawa beef including stewed taros, tamakon konjac balls. There is also a wide variety of local sakes such as Dewazakura, Jokigen and Kudokijozu on the menu bought direct from the brewers by the owner.

    They offer almost all the Yamagata Sake so Sake lovers should like this place. However the kind of dishes are somewhat limited and the price is rather expensive. I mean the taste is good but not good...

    A place for indulging in Yonezawa beef, local Yamagata sake, and seafood auctioned at the Yamagata City Central Wholesale Market, the Yamagata Nagaya Sakaba features a menu and interior so thoroughly imbued with Yamagata culture, you could get to know the whole prefecture by visiting. You may have trouble deciding which local dish to try first. Every Sunday features a Hanakasa Odori performance as well. As for the local sake, 49 brands of Yamagata sake are available—great for the connoisseur. Four minutes on foot from JR Yamagata Station.

    古風な感じの居酒屋で、郷土料理に地酒が楽しめます。お通しが湯豆腐にしゃぶしゃぶと、豪勢です。途中、花笠音頭を踊ったりと山形を楽しめました。

    山形在住の友人がおススメということで東根のこの店に連れて行ってもらった。店を入ると囲炉裏風のテーブルがあり、試食品が多数、店主と思われるご主人がお茶を入れてくれるサービスの良さ。麩饅頭や麩の商品が多数。特に唐揚げ風はそれらしい味がして良く工夫したなーと驚いた。他にも麩饅頭や麩の商品が多数。思わず友人と一緒にお土産を多数購入してしまった。駐車場あり、トイレも別棟に完備していた。

    Megasuzu is a local cuisine restaurant in a corner of Kogo no Satoa large, older neighborhood in Higashine City, Yamagata Prefecture. The restaurant's cuisine is centered on vegetables and freshwater fish harvested in Yamagata and prepared according to traditional local recipes. Megasuzu is located in the remodeled home of the old established Yokoo family, and instead of feeling as if they are going to a restaurant, customers are attracted to an atmosphere that makes them feel as if they are guests in a Kominka old Japanese-style house, Under Megasuzu's unique serving system, customers place their orders in the main hall of the house, and when their meal is ready, they are led to private tatami rooms in the back.     三名で個室利用でした。 前回は隣の少し大きな個室でしたが 炉端の席よりゆっくりできるので良いです。 寒ブリのお刺身は大きくて食べ応え良く 白子の焼きも茹でも大変美味しくいただきました。 スタッフもきちんとした対応で まったく問題はありません。 山形駅からもタクシーですぐですので お勧めできます。

    ネタが新鮮でおいしいと思います。 ただし、期間限定の１貫寿司は思ったよりもいつも残念。特にのどぐろは全然おいしくありませんでした。 １００円回転寿司は１００円回転ずしらしく、１００円のお皿が味も値段も満足です。 ２００-３００円出すなら、他のお寿司屋さんに行った方が値段は高くてもおいしいし満足です。 私の好きなお寿司は、はまち・えびチーズ・サーモンがおいしい！

    日曜日の夕方で、さすがに混んでいましたが、アプリで予約して行ったので、そんなには待たずに入れました。土日や食事どきは予約が一番だと思います。毎回季節のメニューなどがあるので、飽きずに食べられます。

    東根温泉利用時にこちらで少し食べました。あさりの味噌汁と茶碗蒸しをまずは注文し、まぐろ・蒸し海老・はまち・エンガワなどを次々タッチパネルで注文。お客が少なめだったので、すぐに到着し、ストレスなく食すことが出来ました。

Although often overlooked, Yamagata prefecture by no means lacks appeal: the Yamadera temple trail through the mountains, deliciously tender Yonezawa wagyu, and over 100 steaming hot springs, most notably Zao Onsen, await visitors.
