The shop’s milk jam with the fragrance and richness of milk is a classic product of owner and patissier Akito Tanaka who built up experience at the acclaimed cake shop (formerly Kashisu Patori) of the Hotel Piena Kobe, known as the hotel of sweets. Inside the shop you’ll find a range of jams made with a variety of fruits and ingredients, and lots of colorful cakes. The jam toast morning is a popular choice to eat in the eating area of the shop.

    This bakery shop, on the basement second floor of Kobe International House just outside Sannomiya-Hanadokeimae Station, is the shop of Philippe Bigot, the man who brought real French bread to Japan. His baguettes, which are made with no added additives, are especially popular and being baked with buck wheat are the shop’s signature product. There are plenty of products on sale such as sweet bread made with cream etc., regular bread, and baguette sandwiches, as well as cakes.

    バケットはビゴさんと決めていて、定期的にお邪魔しています。最近、カヌレも置いてあります。大きな型で、外側はパリパリしていて、中もしっとり生焼けがないため、気に入って購入しています。クレジットカードも使えるのでいつも大丸で購入しています。

    Hitsuji Tearooms is a cafe serving homemade cakes, located in Motoyama Kitamachi Town, Higashinada Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. In addition to their macrobiotic non-sugar apple pie and chocolate fondant which do not use any butter, eggs or sugar, seasonal cakes are also very popular here. There are a lot of picture books around the shop making it feel just like your own home or a friend’s house. You can relax and forget about the time while enjoying the delicious cakes.

    Kazamidori Honpo, famous for cheesecake in Kobe Kitano. They have lots of gratifying cakes, including baked cheese tarts, golden puddings and silver puddings, and not forgetting the weathercock cheesecake with plenty of flavored Camembert cheese and cream cheese. The rich flavor of their cheesecakes is adored by cheese lovers. It is approximately 15 minutes on foot from JR Shin-Kobe Station.

Signature products of the store include medicated bath salts called “Kinyu” and “Ginyu” created based on an analysis of the spring water from Arima “Kinsen” and “Ginsen” hot springs.     This popular local bakery is located in Chuo Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. It was opened by Takaaki Nishikawa, a chef who used to work at the famous “Comme Chinois” restaurant. There are anywhere from several dozen to nearly 100 types of bread available. Behind the bar is bread being sold by store clerks, and it comes in a several varieties, such as sweet bread, hard breads, and more. You can enjoy your selection in the courtyard.

    とにかく美味しい!オレンジの食パンはそのままでも食べれるくらい柔らかくてとりあえず美味しい。豆のパンも少しだけトーストして食べたらサクサクでした。これは他の種類も食べたい!!と思うようなパンばかりだったのでリピーターになりますね。

    This confectionery is on the ground floor of the “Sorio Takarazuka” commercial facility in front of Hankyu Takarazuka Station. The famous confection “Maiden Rice Cakes” was created here in 1926, and it is made by steaming rice powder and millet flour with sugar in a pot and topping the resulting cake with soy powder. It gained popularity due to its simple yet elegant taste, which embodies the Takarazuka ideals of “pure, proper, and beautiful.” The name comes from Otome Amatsu, a Takarazuka star at the time. In addition to loyal local customers, it is also enjoyed by Takarazuka performers and other entertainers.

It is considered a pioneer in among Kobe chocolateries, and its sweets are based on the motto “simple, pure, and natural.” The display cases and shelves are filled with bon bons, cakes, tarts, traditional French sweets, and many other items. The gift sets are especially popular.

    チョコレート以外にも、タルトやカヌレ、クグロフなどラインナップはかなり豊富なお店です。リーズナブルなお店で、クグロフとカヌレを購入しましたが、カヌレはもっちりしていて、とても美味しかったですよ。クレジットカードは3000円以上で使用可能。

The “canele royale” is made from rosemary and honey and is only available at the main shop. In the parlor, you can enjoy sweets made with grapes and other fruits, as well as a food menu including pasta with sauce made by a French chef.

It makes one think of a café that a French person opened in Arimaonsen, and features antique furniture and stylish terrace seating, as well as Japanese rooms that really capture the hot spring town atmosphere. The main offerings are cakes with fruit and French sweets, though there's also tanba kuromame (black bean) pudding and other Japanese sweets. The “Arima rolls,” which use hot spring salt from Arima's Kaneizumi spring, are particularly popular.
