    This agritourism farm is where you can enjoy cherry picking every year around July and August. It has Japan's largest all-weather rain dome. Using no chemical fertilizers, and it grows 1,500 plants from over 30 varieties including Sato Nishiki. The homemade jams they make are great souvenirs.

    “Onuma Quasi-National Park”, which is close to Hakodate is a large park totaling an area of ​​9,083 hectares. The Highland Zone with an elevation of 1,023 meters is a ski resort which was also used as a competition venue at the Sapporo Olympics held in 1972. There are plenty of ski slope attractions including the Terrain Park with its dynamic atmosphere and the Kyoryu Kids Park, where powerful dinosaurs can be played with. There is also free all-day parking that can accommodate 3,000 cars.

    2月の正午頃に然別湖コタンで氷のバーや教会を見学した後に、然別湖ネイチャーセンターの2階でランチを頂きました。カレーやクラムチャウダーが美味しかったです。店員さん達も丁寧でした。然別湖畔ではランチはこちらで頂くことをお勧めします。

    追分駅の西側で、長い通路が直線に延びているのと、芝生広場の三角建屋が印象的。それにしても、こんなに街の近隣ににうっそうとした木立や、目にしみるような緑豊かな芝生もあるとはうらやましい限り。

    セルフで回りました。カートにタブレットが付いていて、コース案内(グリーンまでの距離)、スコア入力ができて便利です。クラブハウスの食事はあまり美味しいとはいえません。

    It is a lot harder than it looks for those uninitiated to activities on ice. As with all sports, practise makes perfect. A fun game to learn.

    入館料が600円になっていますが、JAF会員割引で500円でした。 地元出身である木田金次郎の作品とその歴史を味わえる小さな美術館です。ゆっくりと鑑賞できました。また、屋上の回廊からは360度全方向の景色を眺めることができました。 新型コロナ感染予防対策もきちんとされていて安心できます。

    This city park is located ten minutes from Otaru Interchange, or 15 minutes' walk from Otaru Station. It is known locally as Otaru's Flower Spot, and is home to a variety of blossoming flowers such as cherry and Otaru City's flower, azalea, as well as wisteria and Siberian crabapple. The best time to see the cherry blossoms is usually from early to mid-May. There are approximately 900 flowering trees, including the classic Yoshino Cherry and Ezo Cherry, Hokkaido's own variety of cherry tree, the North Japanese hill cherry. There is also a viewing platform on the small hill, which overlooks the city. Inside the park, there are azalea planted everywhere, and the garden is carpeted in their brilliant colors from mid-May to early June, which coincides with the cherry blossom-viewing season.

    This feature one of the viewing place for Cherry Blossom in Otaru. However, it seems not in full bloom and only seen some cherry trees. Good to take a walk here if visited Otaru.

    An observatory on a small hill offers a 360 degree view of a beautiful lavender garden which blooms from June to August, as well as the Tokachi Mountain Range. A variety of events are held here, including the Kamifurano Flower and Fire Festival in July. At the adjoining athletic ground and motor home camping ground, you can enjoy the great outdoors. There are also cottages available for use by families and groups.

    展望台まで車からラベンダー畑の様子が見れます。 歩いても行けそうだけど斜面が急でヒールだとつらいと思います。 展望台からの眺めが、ラベンダー畑だけでなく、上富良野町ののどかな田園の街並みも楽しめます。ちょうど富良野線のトロッコ列車も見えました。 反対側は十勝岳を中心とした山々が見えて、それもまたいいですよ。

Today, besides walking round the Farm’s gardens, visitors can also purchase herbs and seedlings grown on the Farm using seeds imported from Europe, and enjoy light meals and desserts made using locally-grown ingredients. The weekend farmers’ market, when neighboring farmers come to sell their vegetables at Ueno Farm, is also a popular event.

    "This art museum is located on a hill overlooking Iwanai on the Sea of Japan. The two buildings contain three museums and concert halls. This museum is famous for holding several engravings by Pablo Picasso, the father of Cubism. It has a collection of 267 pieces, including ""The Frugal Meal"" from his youth, to ""Erotica"" from his late period. The Picasso Museum displays 40 carefully selected pieces at all times, and is on the second and third floors of Hall 1. It's a perfect space to approach the view of Picasso's world, which is as enchanting today as it has ever been."
